Academic mobility

Today, academic mobility of students and teachers is a key element in the process of modernization of the education system, the introduction of modern technologies and teaching methods, improving the quality of teaching staff.

Our students and teachers annually participate in internships, educational and research projects with the support of university partners. Students of the fields of "Mechanical Engineering" and "Materials Science and Engineering Technology" of the Kyrgyz-German Technical Institute can apply for summer schools at TFH Berlin, the ratings among students and the level of knowledge of the German language are taken into account.

Also, undergraduate graduates can apply for admission to the Master's program at ITMO University, St. Petersburg.

Academic mobility is ensured by the activity and initiative of students and teachers, so we are glad to see purposeful, communicative and responsible representatives of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology in our ranks.

Participation of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology in the project "Lu Ban Workshop in Kyrgyzstan"

The Lu Ban Workshop (MLB) in Kyrgyzstan is being created on the basis of the I. Razzakov KSTU in cooperation with Chinese universities and organizations. The founders of the MLB were:

  • Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Hydropower (ZJWEU);
  • Zhejiang Transportation Vocational Technical College (ZJIC);
  • Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I.Razzakov;
  • Zhejiang First Hydropower Construction Group Co., Ltd.;
  • Zhejiang Jiaogong International Engineering Co., Ltd.

The main directions of the project are water resources and hydropower, electric power, new energy sources, roads and bridges, railways, mechanical engineering, geodesy and mapping, construction, etc. If necessary, it is planned to expand the scope of cooperation in other areas.

On August 10, 2023, a memorandum on the establishment of the Lu Ban Workshop in Kyrgyzstan was signed in Hangzhou (China).

Laboratories "Technology of materials processing" and "Digital production" will be organized on the basis of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology. The equipment of these laboratories includes:

  • Flexible automatic production system with a cost of 80500.0 USD;
  • CNC milling machine - cost 20600.0 USD;
  • Universal measuring microscopes (UIM) cost 20000.0 USD.

At the initial stage of the project, it is planned to conduct the following courses and disciplines:

  1. Advanced training courses on the topic “Repair and restoration of parts of road construction machines on CNC metal cutting machines” (Responsible - Prof., Ph.D. Sartov T.E.)
  2. Conducting laboratory and practical training in the discipline “Production of products in the CAM environment" (Responsible – senior lecturer Sopoev M.K.)

Within the framework of the Workshop of Lu Ban, the Department of Mechanical Engineering of KSTU will cooperate with the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Hydropower (ZJWEU).

To implement the project at KSTU, by order of the rector, a working group was created (Appendix 1), which coordinates the activities of the MLB organization.

Laiwu Vocational and Technical College (China)

At the invitation of the Chinese side, within the framework of the "High-Level Talent Recruitment Management" program, a working visit by Professor E.S. Abdraimov was organized to Laiwu Vocational and Technical College in Laiwu City, Shandong Province.

Laiwu Vocational and Technical College (LVTC) is a well-known, reputable educational institution in China with significant achievements. The college possesses a substantial, high-level, and modern educational and research base across a wide spectrum of technical fields, including restoration techniques in archaeology, bioengineering, robotics, etc.

During the visit, agreements were reached on joint scientific research in the field of mechanical engineering, particularly the research and development of impact devices based on hinge schemes with instantaneous kinematic decoupling.

Significant attention was paid to transferring domestic experience to highly qualified scientific personnel among the teaching staff of LVTC.

U. Joldasbekov Institute of Mechanics and Machine Science (Republic of Kazakhstan)

Joint scientific research and experimental design work is being conducted on a permanent basis with the U.A. Joldasbekov Institute of Mechanics and Machine Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Specific projects are being implemented to create modern machines based on high-class mechanisms and variable structure mechanisms. The results of the work are presented both at specialized international conferences and at joint scientific seminars.

Cooperation with stakeholders on training of specialists

In order to adapt Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and Materials Technology to changes in the labor market needs, the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology works closely with all interested parties: potential employers (industrial and repair and service enterprises, design and research and development organizations, etc.), educational institutions (universities-partners in joint educational programs and projects on academic mobility, educational organizations of secondary and primary vocational education, general education), students (both future and current) and graduates. This communication is regular and is carried out through a wide range of formats (round tables, working groups, industry and coordination councils, open days, etc.). So, over the past 5 years, in connection with the transition to training specialists based on the competence model of graduates and the national and sectoral qualification frameworks being implemented, two projects have been conducted:Three round tables with a wide range of stakeholders, a working meeting with representatives of employers, 3 workshops with partner universities for implementing joint educational programs, 1 seminar with representatives of universities from 16 countries in Europe and Asia, a number of meetings with representatives of leading universities in the world, where the realities and prospects of training specialists in the field of education were discussed. training areas of the department. As part of these platforms, representatives of both domestic companies and universities, as well as foreign ones, were attracted to take into account the widest range of opinions and interests. In particular, as a result of a number of these activities, over the five years of implementation of the KSTU-ITMO SOP, three joint master's degree programs were prepared and implemented, taking into account the latest trends in the labor market of specialists in digital production.
