Engineering Problem Solving Championship

What is an engineering problem solving championship?

 

The Engineering Problem Solving Championship is a practice-oriented competition on solving engineering (practical) problems among students of higher education institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic. The methodological basis of the Championship is the "case study method" (case study). Within the framework of the competition, teams of universities solve engineering case study, dedicated to the current energy issues.

The aim of the Championship is to identify and support the most promising students of universities studying in energy fields, as well as to assist them in gaining practical knowledge, experience and new competences, popularise engineering education and attract young specialists to the energy system of the Kyrgyz Republic.

#TogetherBright

 

#TogetherYarche is a campaign to draw attention to the issues of energy conservation.

 

The #TogetherYarche campaign was first held in the Russian Federation in 2017, in 2018 in Kazakhstan, and in 2019 it was held in Kyrgyzstan.

 The festival is held with the organisational support of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use, the United Nations Development Programme, other agencies and public organisations.

Throughout the year, the festival in Kyrgyzstan included thematic lessons, quizzes, drawing and essay contests for schoolchildren, meetings between energy specialists and students, open days at energy companies, conferences of international level and actions to attract the attention of the population to the issues of careful attitude to energy resources and the use of modern energy efficient technologies at home and in production.

Every day during the STEM-CSTI Winter School, participants of the Girls in Science project discover new attractive facets of STEM careers

On 24 October 2021, the project participants visited our department. Our staff conducted introductory lectures and a master class.
