The Department of Electrical Power Engineering co-operates with universities in the CIS and the Boit Technical University of Berlin. The Department of Electrical Power Engineering co-operates with CIS universities and the Boit Technical University of Berlin.  Together with the Moscow Power Engineering Institute graduates bachelors in the profile "Electric Power Systems and Networks", and after the 2nd year can continue their studies at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, Tomsk Polytechnic University and Kazan Technical University.

The department actively co-operates with the Boit Technical University of Berlin. The department actively co-operates with the Beuth Technical University of Berlin.

Every year professors from Germany conduct all kinds of training sessions for students studying in the profile "Relay protection and automation of electric power plants" and supervise the projects. Since 2012, the department has carried out 3 projects on the production of laboratory stands:

1. Joint project "Motor-Generator".  The participants of the project are Prof. A.Hambrecht (Germany), project coordinator Zholdoshova B.M., student Niyazov B..

2. Joint project "Filters of higher harmonics".  The participants of the project are Prof. A.Hambrecht (Germany), senior lecturer Zholdoshova B.M., student Avazov A. student BTI (Germany).

3. Project "Compensating devices". The participants of the project are Prof. A. Hambrecht, Prof. I. Schüring, Prof. Kirchberger (Germany), senior lecturer Zholdoshova B.M. student DZholdoshev N.

Co-operation of the Electric Power Engineering Department with Russian universities

The Department of Electrical Power Engineering actively co-operates with Russian universities. Our graduates can continue their Master's studies at MPEI and Tomsk Polytechnic Institute.  More than 40 graduates of our department have completed their Master's studies at Tomsk Polytechnic University.

During its period of activity, the Department of Electrical Power Engineering has also established close relations with the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI) in the training of bachelors in the profile of "Electrical Power Systems and Networks" and in the field of science. Since 2009, the teachers of our department have taken and are taking advanced training courses at MPEI.

On co-operation with TU Ilmenau

In October 2022 a memorandum of co-operation was signed between TU Ilmenau (Germany) and KSTU named after I. Razzakov. In March 2023 a delegation from Ilmenau headed by Professor H.Toepfer visited the university. During the visit at the department of "Electrical Power Engineering" they discussed plans for joint training of Master's degree holders and development of scientific research works. The delegation visited the laboratories of the chair "Electric Power Engineering" and other laboratories of the Power Engineering Institute, and also meetings were held with the teaching staff of the chair and with the students of KSTI. During the meetings the delegation of TU Ilmenau got acquainted with the scientific directions of the chair and were told about the university. Prof. H. Toepfer and Dr S. Broenig answered the questions of the students.
