Department of "Management" was founded in 1998 based on the Faculty of "Business and Management" KTU. I. Razzakova and later ended up in a special Institute of Management and Business (until 2016) and after the reorganization of the institute in the Faculty of Engineering and Economics, the Department of Management is active.

The Department of "Management" by status is a graduation department of the FEE.

The department requires the solution of educational, educational, methodological, organizational, and informational and research tasks to improve the skills and specialists in the field of theory and practice of management, marketing, financial organizations.

The main composition of the department is young qualified - masters in management, constantly improving their professional and pedagogical skills. Professors, candidates of sciences, associate professors, entrepreneurs of companies, firms and corporations of the republic also, work fruitfully at the department and make a certain contribution to the training of specialists.

Professors of the department conduct training sessions at the faculties of KBTU in licensed areas of full-time and distance learning; in bachelor and master's programs in the direction 580200 "Management" and the second higher education; also participate in the preparation of graduate students and applicants. The work programs for the disciplines of the department correspond to the State educational standards and the requirements of the quality management system.

The department is actively involved in the improvement and development of new educational and methodological publications: lecture courses, manuals, guidelines, workbooks: more than 20 educational and methodological developments have been prepared for publication and published. All teachers of the department on the topic carry out research work (R&D): "Problems of managing organizations in the conditions of market relations in the Kyrgyz Republic."

The Department of Management carries out its activities in accordance with the Development Concept until 2025, which defines the main types of work and directions for the development of the department.

The results of the educational and research work of the department serve the sustainable socio-economic development of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In its development, the department relies on the following basic principles:

• The principle of professionalism, that is, constant self-training and advanced training of teachers and staff, based on advanced and continuous education, its individualization;
• The principle of educating a harmonious personality, training of specialists capable of implementing their knowledge and creative abilities in practice, based on the intensification of the educational process, its computerization and creativity;
• The principle of the relationship of the educational process with fundamental and applied research of the department in order to improve the quality of education;
• The principle of development of traditions that have developed at the department, faculty and university.

The strategic goal of the department is the development of the department as a leading research and teaching school in the field of theory and practice of management, capable of preparing highly qualified specialists with scientific knowledge and basic professional competencies in the field of organization management.

Since 2020, there is a license for additional education "Management in Education", where 11 teachers of our and other universities have already been trained, PC certificates have been issued for 72 hours.

Achievement of the department for 2021 academic year:

1. The presence of a postgraduate program in the direction of the department (08.00.05 - Economics and management of the national economy).
2. Evaluation of the activities of teachers by students (questionnaire) - the average score for the department is 4.9.
3. The percentage of students admitted to the examination session is 89%.
4. The percentage of students who successfully passed the exams during the main session is 81%.
5. The percentage of students who passed the exams with excellent marks is 55%.
6. Participation in additional education programs - 5 professors.
7. Publication of textbooks with the stamp of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic - 2 textbooks.
8. The defense of the Bachelor and Master's thesis with "excellent" - 31 people.
9. Preparation of students for participation in Olympiads and scientific competitions - 3.
10. Publication of articles in publications included in the list of RSCI - 18.
11. Participation in international conferences and symposia - 6.
12. Advanced training with obtaining a certificate of the established form - 45.
13. Participation in the preparation and holding of student and university events - 8.
14. According to the results of the independent ranking of universities of the Kyrgyz Republic - 2021 on educational programs of undergraduate and graduate programs "Management" took the third place.

March 25, 2022 at KSUСTA them. N. Isanova passed the II Republican Interuniversity Student Olympiad in Management. 14 universities of the republic took part in the Olympiad. A team of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students of the direction "Management" and "Personnel Management" of KSTU. I. Razzakova IEF department "Management" under the guidance of the head of the department, Professor Imankulova E.T. and senior lecturer Rifert K.P. in the individual and team tournament received 1st place.

Plan for the development of the department "Management" for the future. The main task is the quality education of students and the systematic improvement of the scientific and pedagogical training of teachers of the department.

Key visions for the future:

– To optimize and improve the quality of training of specialists-managers;

– To improve the level of innovative technology in teaching;

- To guide future specialists in the ability to make effective management decisions. Freely navigate in a rich information flow and the ability to see the future;

- To improve the academic disciplines of the direction "Management" in the new third generation education system, and in the implementation of the strategy of the Bologna process;

- Assist in the employment of graduates in their field, create a base for joint activities with enterprises, firms and companies in the training of specialists;

- To improve the level of scientific qualification of teachers (writing dissertations, scientific articles);

– To establish international relations with other universities and departments on the exchange of experience in the training of managers;

– improve work in the preparation of undergraduates (writing scientific articles, dissertations, participation in conferences and seminars, and improving the quality of scientific and pedagogical practices).

- To introduce a pilot program for the preparation of PhD doctors in the direction of "Production Management"
