About the Project

In 2019, KSTU named after I. Razzakov took part in the implementation of the international Erasmus+ project "Establishing Training and Research Centers and Developing Courses on Intelligent Analysis of Big Data in Central Asia" (ELBA). The project aimed to enhance the academic capacity of specialists at KSTU through the development and implementation of an interdisciplinary package of modular courses in Intelligent Analysis of Big Data (IABD) for bachelor's, master's, and specialist students. The project involved staff from the departments of "Applied Mathematics and Informatics", "Software Engineering of Computer Systems", and the International Relations Office.

Participants

The project consortium included 3 EU universities and 10 partners from Central Asian countries, as well as 11 partners from industry and education.

Main Goals

  • Promoting educational cooperation between the EU and Central Asian countries
  • Supporting the modernization and internationalization of higher education in partner countries
  • Developing and implementing interdisciplinary courses in Intelligent Analysis of Big Data
  • Strengthening cooperation between universities and industry

Results

  • An interdisciplinary package of modular IABD courses was developed for bachelor's and master's programs
  • An IABD training and research center was established at KSTU with a budget of 23,512 euros
  • An academic and professional network of IABD specialists was formed among partner universities in Central Asia
  • Staff training was conducted in English language and big data analysis methodologies
  • A project website and open-access IABD knowledge base were developed
