The direction of the scientific school Apyshev J.A.: "Research, mathematical modeling and development of an intelligent electric power system (EPS)"

The purpose of the scientific direction: the creation of an intelligent EPS to ensure high-quality and reliable power supply to consumers at minimal cost for the production and distribution of electricity

Research directions:

1. Theoretical foundations and methodology for the study of normal and abnormal modes of EPS with non-linear elements.

2. Technique for studying the conditions for the emergence and existence of subharmonic and chaotic oscillations in an EPS with nonlinear elements.

3. A new qualitative method for assessing the stability of EPS, based on the application of the theory of catastrophes, and a method for synthesizing the law of regulation of the excitation voltage of synchronous generators.

4. Method for identifying signs of defects in EPS elements and an expert system for making a diagnosis with knowledge bases.

5. The concept of building an automation system for electric power facilities and the method of their situational management.

Topics of candidate dissertations of students:

1. Samir Haik "Investigation of electromagnetic transients in power supply systems containing elements with non-linear characteristics" 2000

2. Auda Awad Othalla Arfoa "Application of catastrophe theory for stability analysis and choice of control actions in electric power systems" 2002

Among them are the monograph "Nonlinearities in the electric power industry" (co-authored with Bakasova A.B.) and the patent for the invention "Method for measuring electric current in the wires of power lines" (co-authored with Satarkulov K.A. and others)

For the first time, a nonlinear theory and methodology in the electric power industry was created

Under the arm d.t.s., prof. Apysheva J.A. implemented the principles of system analysis in optimizing the modes and parameters of EPS distribution electrical networks, implemented an integrated approach, which consists in joint consideration of various management objectives of EPS distribution electrical networks according to the criteria of efficiency, reliability and quality of electricity, which made it possible to obtain new quantitative and qualitative results that differ from the isolated consideration of each of these tasks.
