Qualification: Master (2 years)
Graduate department: Software for Computer Systems
The highest level of training in this area is a master's degree. Students will become fluent in:
- the basics of developing security systems for communication networks and electronic databases;
- principles of testing and improving your own projects;
- the concept of risk assessment of existing security systems;
- methodology for developing regulatory and technical documents;
- information on international information security standards;
- knowledge of technical English.
Future masters will study such disciplines as:
- protecting information using cryptographic methods;
- computer hardware;
- information transmission system and networks;
- information security management processes;
- programming languages;
- programming methods and techniques;
- protection of information by technical means;
- Discrete Math;
- data protection principles.
By completing the training, students will perfectly learn to install, configure and operate system components of almost any level of complexity. Students will conduct experiments based on a given methodology, process and analyze the results obtained.
Who to work with
With a master's degree, graduates can easily apply for high positions in the IT department. They become candidates for positions such as senior system administrator and head of the information security department. Specialists with teaching skills conduct teaching activities using their own methods. Some may join the staff of researchers at one of the state enterprises and hold the position of chief developer of information security systems. Often, master's students successfully find employment in various banks, exercising constant control and protection of transmitted data.
