The signing of a memorandum of understanding between the WORLD BANK, the INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION of DEVELOPMENT and the KYRGYZ STATE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY IM.I. RAZZAKOV.
Rector Dzhamanbaev Murataly Dzhuzumalievich met with the World Bank Mission in the person of the Central Asian procurement specialist Ahmed Merzuk at KSTU named after I. Razzakov. Also, the meeting was attended by World Bank office specialists Irina Goncharova, Azamat Syrgaev, Adis Medetov and the head of the Logistics department of KSTU Umetaliev Akylbek Saparbekovich.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss the opening at the Logistics Department of the “Analytical Center for Logistics and Public Procurement”. This center will contribute to building sustainable capacity in public procurement and their professionalization in Kyrgyzstan, including training programs on World Bank procurement policies and procedures. And also for independent research, analysis, dissemination of information on the evolution, transparency and accountability of the national procurement system.
At present, a Memorandum of Cooperation for 2020-2022 has been signed.
