The meeting on the launch of the program for obtaining a Kyrgyz-Hungarian diploma in logistics at KSTU named after I. Razzakov.

"On January 20, 2024, an important meeting took place at KSTU named after I. Razzakov, organized by the rector M.K. Chynbayev and the director of the International Higher School of Logistics, Professor A.S. Umetaliev.

The meeting was dedicated to the launch of a program for obtaining a dual diploma in logistics in collaboration with Hungarian universities.

Representatives of the Hungarian faculty attended the event: Dr. Peter Tamás, Director of the Institute of Logistics, PhD, Professor, and Dr. Peter Veres, PhD, Associate Professor at the Institute of Logistics at the University of Miskolc.

Participants discussed the organization and implementation of the program, the goals and prospects of cooperation between KSTU and European Union universities.

Ideas were discussed regarding the development of the curriculum, conduct of classes, practices, and defense of the master's program "Resource-efficient Production Logistics / Prodlog," as well as the organization of interaction between students and teachers.

The Institute of Logistics at the University of Miskolc, led by Dr. Peter Tamás, has been an educational and research center actively working in the field of logistics since the 1980s. The "Logistics" department at KSTU was established in 2011, and in 2022, the International Higher School of Logistics was created on its basis, led by Dr. A.S. Umetaliev.

The dual diploma program will start accepting applicants from September 1, 2024. Education in the 1st and 3rd semesters will take place in Bishkek, and in the 2nd and 4th semesters in Miskolc. After successfully completing the program, graduates will receive diplomas from both Hungary and the Kyrgyz Republic.

It is expected that this program will be a significant step in the development of education and research in the field of logistics, both in Kyrgyzstan and in European Union countries."
