On April 22, 2024, the Central European Logistics Conference 2024  took place in Lillafüred, Hungary, organized by the Logistics Department of the Society of Mechanical Engineering and the Logistics Institute of Miskolc University. The conference featured over 50 presentations, including innovative topics such as artificial intelligence and the application of various digital solutions in logistics.  Representing the International School of Logistics were Director Professor Umetaliev Aqylbek Saparbekovich, Associate Professor Orozonova Azik Abdykasymovna, and doctoral students Mukanov Tynchtyk Askerovich and Mambetkulova Asel Zhenisovna. The main partner of the conference this year was East-West Ltd. , which owns the largest and most modern intermodal terminal in Europe. The company signed a significant strategic agreement with Miskolc University. The partnership between the company and the university is exemplary and contributes to the high-quality education of logistics professionals and the development of the logistics sector in Hungary. The conference also celebrated several milestone events: the 40th anniversary of the start of education and research in the field of logistics at Miskolc University ; the 60th anniversary of the partnership between Miskolc University and Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg ; as well as the 10th anniversary of professional cooperation between the Institute of Logistics Engineering at Graz University of Technology and the Logistics Institute of Miskolc University.
