Interuniversity Student Olympiad in Microeconomics and Macroeconomics

     On March 14, 2025, the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov hosted the Interuniversity Student Olympiad in Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. The intellectual competition brought together 36 students from seven leading universities in Bishkek.

The event was organized by the Department of Economics and Enterprise Management of the Higher School of Economics and Business at KSTU.

Opening Ceremony

Welcoming addresses were delivered by:

  • Arzybaev Almaz Momunovich, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, KSTU

  • Sydykova Cholpon Kachkynbekovna, Director of the Higher School of Economics and Business, KSTU

Both speakers emphasized the importance of such events for the development of students' professional competencies.

The moderator of the Olympiad was Professor Sulaimanova B.Zh. , Head of the Department of Economics and Enterprise Management.

Competition Format

The competition consisted of:

  • Individual testing

  • Problem-solving tasks in key economic disciplines

The Olympiad provided students with the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, analytical thinking, and ability to solve practical problems.

Based on the results of the Olympiad, the winners were:

1st Place:

  • Saparbekova Eliza (KNU named after J. Balasagyn)

  • Anisimova Adelya (HSEB, KSTU)

2nd Place:

  • Kurmankulova Medina (KEU named after M. Ryskulbekov)

  • Potalashko Anna (HSEB, KSTU)

3rd Place:

  • Yakubova Begimai (MUIT)

  • Kuban kyzy Aidana (BSU named after K. Karasaev)

Awards

The winners were awarded diplomas and valuable prizes from Xiaomi.kg. All participants received certificates for their active participation.

Conclusion

The Interuniversity Olympiad in Economics became a significant event in the educational landscape of Kyrgyzstan, bringing together talented students and strengthening academic cooperation between universities.
