In 1972, he graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute.
Work experience:
Since 1973, he has been working at the Institute of Physics and Mechanics of Rocks: until 1977, as a senior engineer, from 1977 to 1983 - head of the Stress Measurement group, from 1983 to 1986 – Scientific secretary, from 1986 – head of the laboratory, from 1989 to 2004 – Deputy Director for scientific work, From December 1, 2004 to the present, Director of the Institute of Geomechanics and Subsoil Development of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Awards:
Kozhogulov K.Ch. was repeatedly encouraged by the Institute's Directorate and the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic for successful and high-quality research. At the end of 1980, he was awarded the badge "Winner of the Socialist Socialist Competition", based on the results of his work for the Tenth five-year plan. – The "Drummer of the tenth five-year Plan", was recognized as the winner of the socialist competition for a worthy meeting of the 70th anniversary of the Great October and was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan, the Council of Ministers of the Kyrgyz SSR and the Central Committee of the Komsomol of Kyrgyzstan, the Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic (2001), the Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic (2003) He was awarded the honorary title "Honored Scientist of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic" (2004). For his achievements in the development of science and the training of scientific personnel, K. Kozhogulov was awarded the Diploma of the Kyrgyz Republic in 1997, and in 2007 he was awarded the honorary title "Honored Scientist of the Kyrgyz Republic." In 2010, he was awarded the gold medal of Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sh.M. Aytaliev.
Professor Kozhogulov K.Ch. is a prominent scientist in the field of rock mechanics and underground mining of mineral deposits. He is the author of 341 scientific papers published in Kyrgyzstan, near and far abroad, including 11 monographs, 2 brochures, 2 textbooks and a textbook, 11 copyright certificates and patents for inventions.
Under the guidance of K.Ch.Kozhogulova successfully defended 7 doctoral and 17 candidate theses. Professor Kozhogulov K.Ch. for many years headed the Department of "Underground mining of mineral deposits" of the Kyrgyz Mining and Metallurgical Institute named after U. Asanaliev of the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov.
