Research Department "Water Oil and Gas Resources and Geological Risks"
Employees of the department wrote and published 14 monographs, more than 20 books and textbooks individually and in co-authorship. Articles are published in indexed international and republican journals.
The department accepts and participates in international educational projects of the European Union TEMPUS, ERASMUS + for the implementation of the master's educational program "Water Resources Management" (2011-2014) and RND (GeoTAK from 2021-2024).
Individual employees of the department are recognized as members of the International Specialized Council for the Defense of Candidate's and Doctoral Dissertations in the Specialties "Hydrogeology", "Engineering Geology, Glacial Science and Soil Science" at the Institute of Water Problems and Hydropower of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Organizational Committee of the International Geodynamic Range, the Institute of High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Geographical Society The Russian Federation, the International Council for the Cryosphere (Germany), the Expert Council of the National Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Supervisory Council of the Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry of the Kyrgyz Republic, the ecological movement "Aleyne".
The teacher and student of the advanced training course at the American University of Central Asia. Bishkek (2012), in the People's Republic of China (2014), "Arctic University" in Norway (2013 and 2014), Kazakh-German University under the project "Water Resources Management in Central Asia" (2011,2014), in KGTU im. I. Razakova (2016, 2018).
The employees were awarded with honorary signs "Excellent Education of the Kyrgyz Republic", honorary diplomas of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, medals and honorary diplomas of the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Postgraduate, doctoral and PhD studies
With the aim of training highly qualified scientific and pedagogical personnel, the department "Water, oil and gas resources and georisks" provides its graduates and employees, as well as employees of other organizations, with the opportunity to further improve the level of education in post-graduate studies and PhD according to the list of specialties of training of scientific and pedagogical personnel implemented in KGTU . I. Razzakova.
In 2022, a state license was obtained to start the training of PhD doctors in the field of "Applied Geology" under the project "Development of interdisciplinary programs of postgraduate education and strengthening of research networks in the field of geoinformation technologies in Armenia and Kyrgyzstan" (GeoTAK), financed by the European Union ERASMUS+ program 2021-2024
On March 2022 in the Kyrgyz Mining and Metallurgical Institute named after U. Asanalieva, the opening of the GIT laboratory in the directions "Applied Geology" and "Mining", created within the framework of this project, took place.
Currently, 7 PhD students from among graduates of KMMI, employees, other production and educational institutions are studying under the PhD program.

Duration of study is 3 years.
