Material and technical base


The department has sufficient material and technical resources necessary for all types of laboratory, practical, disciplinary and interdisciplinary training and research work of students, allowing to form professional and research competencies.

The existing material and technical resources of the department provide for all types of lectures, practical and laboratory classes provided for by the curriculum. The classrooms and auditoriums of the department are equipped with educational equipment, devices, furniture, visual educational materials, stands and cartographic materials, as well as modern computers with software.

The department has laboratories "Hydrogeology", "Hydrogeodynamics", "Engineering and geological analysis of soils" and computer classes.

Within the framework of the ERASMUS+ project "Development of interdisciplinary postgraduate programs and strengthening of research networks in the field of geoinformation technologies in Armenia and Kyrgyzstan" (GeoTAK from 2021-2024) for the implementation of the PhD program, laboratory 12/205 was created in campus 3 in building 12 for PhD research by doctoral students. The laboratories and classrooms of the department comply with sanitary and fire safety rules and regulations. There are laboratory passports, as well as safety and fire safety instructions. To ensure the safe work of employees and students, regular safety briefings are conducted by the head of the department together with the head of the laboratories. New employees undergo initial training on safety and fire safety, there is a journal with relevant records (in accordance with the Instructions on fire safety measures and the Instructions on labor protection and safety, approved by the Rector of KSTU).
