  Umarov Talantbek Samievich graduated in 1997 from the Kyrgyz Mining and Metallurgical Institute named after Acad. U. Asanaliev, specializing in "Surveying," and received the qualification of "Engineer."

  He began his professional career in 1997 as an engineer in the laboratory of the Institute of Physics and Mechanics of Rocks at the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.

  On April 1, 1998, he started working as a lecturer at the Department of "Mineral Deposit Development" at the Kyrgyz Mining and Metallurgical Institute named after Acad. U. Asanaliev. On September 1, 2000, he was promoted to Senior Lecturer and was appointed Deputy Head of the Department of "Geodesy and Surveying" in the same year. In 2005, he was appointed Director of the "Center for Computer Technologies in Mining Design" at the Institute of Mining and Mining Technologies named after U. Asanaliev, part of KGTU named after I. Razzakov. Since 2017, he has worked as the Head of the Educational Department and, concurrently, as Acting Associate Professor at the Department of "Geodesy and Surveying" at the Kyrgyz State University of Geology, Mining, and Natural Resources Development named after Acad. U. Asanaliev.

  In 2019, by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic (Protocol No. 7k-1/6, dated September 26, 2019), he was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences. He has published more than 39 works, including 7 methodical guides, 1 textbook on the subject of "Geodesy," and training programs for conducting industrial practice.

  He continuously improves his qualifications and knowledge in interactive and innovative teaching methods for students, having obtained the following certificates: "GIS Course and Introduction to Micromine" - 17.08.2012, "Interactive Teaching Methods. Creating a Syllabus." - 10.11.2012. He was awarded an "Honorary Diploma" from the Institute of Mining and Mining Technologies in 2012 for his active participation in the educational and pedagogical work of the institute, as well as an "Honorary Diploma" from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2013.
