The beginning of the opening of the direction 570400 "Design" is the profile "Graphic Design" for the training of specialists with a 6-year full-time education, which was opened on the recommendation of Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, laureate of the State Prize in Science and Technology Imankulova A.S. in 2008. At the origins of Graphic design were members of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic and members of the Union of the Confederation of Artists of the CIS, associate professors Koenaliev K.K., Momunaliev A.A., Toktoev S.K., Adyshev S.T., art. teacher M.A. Zarkunov, as part of the newly opened Department of "Artistic Product Design" of the Faculty of Technology. Associate professor was appointed head of the Department of KHPI. Razzakov KSTU, a new direction 570400 "HIGHER SCHOOL OF DESIGN" was formed based on the profiles "Graphic Design", "Environment Design" and "Fashion Design". The Higher School of Design as part of the Faculty of Technology was headed by a member of the CC KR, a member of the CC KR, Honored Worker of the I. Razzakov KSTU, "Excellent Student of Science" KR, Associate Professor, K. K. Koenaliev. In 2020, with the accession of the printing house of the I. Razzakov KSTU, the HSE was transformed into the Higher School of Design Training and Production Center as an independent structure within the I. Razzakov KSTU (UOC HSE), Associate Professor K.K.Koenaliev was appointed director of the UOC HSE. In 2022, based on the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic UP No243 of 18.07.2022 "On measures to increase the potential and competitiveness of educational institutions of higher professional education of the Kyrgyz Republic" and Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic No414 of 29.07.2022. “On some issues of reorganization of higher educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic” there was a merger of the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I.Razzakov and the Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transport and Architecture named after N. Isanov. In connection with this reorganization, the Training and Production Center "Higher School of Design" of KSTU and KGUSTA were merged into a single structural unit as part of the Institute of Architecture and Design of I. Razzakov KSTU. The training and production Center "Higher School of Design" was renamed to the department "Design".
