The urgent need of the market for specialists in the information technology industry, the innovative nature of the profession, high salary growth potential, broad career prospects, attractive working environment and low probability of stress. According to the international agencies of labor statistics CarrerCast, the professions of the direction are among the top ten according to the specified criteria.

The IST direction is one of the most popular among the directions and specialties of higher education in Kyrgyzstan and around the world.

Upon completion of the bachelor's degree, graduates of the direction have the opportunity to enroll, including in budget places, in any master's degree programs in IT areas, as well as further study in graduate school.

The training at the department is aimed at mastering end-to-end information technologies related to Internet of Things programming, data analytics, machine learning, and data science.
