Visiting Lecture at the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic
As part of their course "Credit Policy of Commercial Banks," a visiting lecture was organized for students in the FC-1-22 group at the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic on November 4.
The event was led by Associate Professor A. Zh. Iskenderova.
During the visit, the students were introduced to the main activities of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, including its functions in monetary policy, banking sector regulation, and financial stability.
NBKR representatives discussed the principles of developing and implementing credit policy, mechanisms for monitoring commercial banks, and current trends in Kyrgyzstan's financial sector.
As part of the trip, the students also visited the NBKR Numismatic Museum, where they were able to see a collection of banknotes reflecting the history of the national currency, the som, and also view rare exhibits related to monetary circulation in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia.
These types of on-site training sessions deepen students' theoretical knowledge, expand their understanding of real-world banking practices, and develop the professional competencies needed by future financial and credit specialists.

Student of the FC-1-22 group, Yryskeldi Umetbekov, was awarded a Presidential Scholarship for his excellent academic performance, active participation in scientific and public life, as well as his high level of responsibility and commitment to professional growth.
The awards ceremony for the Presidential Scholarships to the best students of higher education institutions in Kyrgyzstan took place on October 31. The awards were presented by President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.
In his speech, the head of state emphasized that the Presidential Scholarship is not simply a financial reward, but recognition of the hard work and talent of students who have contributed to the development of science, education, and society.
"The Presidential Scholarship is the result of the hard work and unquenchable talent of students who have made a special contribution to the scientific and public life of educational institutions. "This is recognition of your achievements and inspiration for new endeavors," noted Sadyr Japarov.

The event was part of the "Open Doors Month" campaign, which runs in all state museums in Kyrgyzstan from October 1 to 30.
The campaign aims to make museums more accessible and engaging, strengthen society's connection to national cultural heritage, and foster a sense of patriotism among young people, the department noted.

On October 29, 2025, as part of the information campaign dedicated to World Savings Day (October 27–31, 2025), a guest lecture on financial literacy was held for students of the Department of Finance, Analysis, and Accounting.
The speaker was Kubanych Musuraliev Iratbekovich, Head of the Financial Literacy Department at the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the lecture, the guest discussed the key principles of rational personal finance management, the importance of developing a financial culture among young people, and the National Bank's current initiatives aimed at improving financial literacy.

From October 12 to 20, students from the MTE-1-24 group participated in the Youth Forum "Global Cooperation and Development of the Silk Road," held as part of the China Exchange Program for Young International Professionals (CEP) 2025, initiated by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China and funded by the China Foundation for International Talent Exchange. On October 14, the opening ceremony of the "Geoeconomics of Sustainable Development Study Group" and the CEP Youth Forum was held at the School of Economics and Management at Northwestern University (Taibai Campus). The event was attended by Northwestern University President Sun Qingwei, Chief Engineer of the Xi'an Municipal Development and Reform Commission Zhang Xiaohui, faculty and students from Northwestern University, KSTU, and the Tajik State University of Commerce (TSUC)—more than 60 participants in total. In their welcoming speeches, the university leadership emphasized the importance of interuniversity and intercultural cooperation, the development of innovative educational programs, and the training of future leaders in sustainable development for Central Asia. Gala evening dedicated to the Day of Older Persons at KSTU
On October 8, 2025, a gala evening dedicated to International Day of Older Persons was held at the Kyrgyz State Technical University (KSTU). The event brought together generations and became an expression of deep gratitude and respect for the older generation.
University Rector M.K. Chynybaev delivered warm words of gratitude, wishing the veterans good health, prosperity, and long life.

The speakers were representatives of the Social Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic: Elmira Alievna Omorova, Chief Specialist of the Institution "Training Center of the Social Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic"; Baktygul Abdysadykovna Sarymsakova, Chief Specialist; and Kenzhegul Mutalipovna Kudaiberdieva, Head of the Pension Payments Department of the Social Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The lecturers provided a detailed overview of the current pension insurance system, types of pension payments, the procedure for calculating and confirming insurance coverage, as well as the rights and responsibilities of insured persons. Special attention was paid to the Social Fund's digital services and practical advice on early financial planning.

On September 15th, the new academic year opened at I. Razzakov KSTU with over 3,000 first-year students! It was a special day filled with energy, joy, and great anticipation.
The celebration began with the "Ayalzat" dance and a parade of faculties, institutes, and colleges. We are proud that our university has been recognized internationally and has received four QS Stars – proof that KSTU is among the best universities not only in Kyrgyzstan but also worldwide.
Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Erkingul Ibrayevna Syrymbekova delivered a congratulatory speech. As per tradition, the "Key of Knowledge" was awarded to the most talented applicants who achieved the best results on the tests
The student council's performance of the Polytechnic University anthem, a flash mob by the winners of the "Ala-Too Zhazy-2025" competition, the premiere of "Suyöm dep aldaba," a song by student council president Aktilek Assatilaev, and a performance by our special guest, Nikolai Gogol, singer and pride of the Polytechnic University, added a special touch to the celebration.

From August 26 to 29, 2025, an orientation week was held for first-year students at the Higher School of Economics and Business. As part of the program, a general meeting was held with the administration, department heads, supervisors, and student representatives. Students were introduced to the work of the Center for Student Services and the educational resources, met with supervisors, elected class monitors, and formed groups for interaction.
On August 27, students were introduced to course information packages and the basic principles of the credit system. In the afternoon, registration and re-registration for courses took place, and the credit accumulation system and final assessment of graduates were discussed.
On August 28, first-year students were assigned to language streams and toured the Department of Physical Education and the sports facilities. They also met with medical staff to discuss medical care and military registration. On August 29, students were introduced to the onlinekstu.kg educational portal, electronic systems, the library, reading rooms, and corporate email. The final event was a meeting on settling into the dormitory and getting settled in.
The orientation week helped first-year students not only get to know the university and its infrastructure but also feel part of the extended KSTU student family.

On June 27, the most anticipated and vibrant graduation ceremony of the year, GRADUATION NIGHT KSTU 2025, took place at I. Razzakov KSTU, organized with the support of Coca-Cola Kyrgyzstan.
Hundreds of graduates, faculty, and guests gathered that evening to bid farewell to the university and welcome a new beginning. Graduates of the Department of Finance, Analysis, and Accounting also participated in the celebration.
The mood of the celebration was set from the very first minutes by host Nursultan Kursanali uulu, and Madina Almasbekovna Myrzalieva, Director of the KSTU Department of Educational Work, delivered a touching congratulatory speech, noting the important role of parents and faculty and their faith in the graduates' success.

On April 28, 2025, Demir Kyrgyz International Bank held a meeting with the department’s graduates, marking the launch of a new large-scale internship initiative – the MT Program (Management Trainee Program). The initiative aims to identify and train promising university graduates who have the potential to become future leaders of the country’s financial sector.
Representatives of the bank provided detailed information about the opportunities offered by the MT Program for young specialists. The program includes a three-month paid internship during which participants will gain unique learning and practical experience from leading experts at Demir Bank. It covers key areas of the international bank’s operations, including business transformation, digital banking, risk management, lending, and more.

The HSBE Department of “Finance, Analysis, and Accounting” held a round table discussion on February 27, 2025, on the topic “Developing Relevant Competencies of Specialists in Finance and Accounting During the Transition from the Informal to Formal Economy for the Period 2024–2030.”
The purpose of the round table was to discuss modern challenges and competency requirements for finance and accounting professionals during the economy’s transition from the informal to the formal sector, as well as to identify key skills and knowledge necessary for effective work in new conditions. During the discussion, the mechanisms of interaction between educational institutions, employers, and government bodies were considered to ensure the preparation of specialists in line with labor market demands.

On February 27, 2025, the department’s students had a unique opportunity to interact with entrepreneurs from successful companies. During the meeting, the guests shared their experiences, discussed business development, challenges they faced, and key success factors.
Representatives of “Bakai Bank” conducted a guest lecture in the format of an interactive game, at the end of which the department’s students were awarded valuable prizes. The event generated great interest and active participation among students. Faculty members of the department actively participated in the open webinar “Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Continuing Professional Education” held on November 12, 2024.
The webinar was organized with the support of the Coordinating Council of the “Eurasian Network University” consortium, aiming to establish a Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Moscow State Technological University ‘STANKIN’.”
The strategic goal of this center is to develop the educational and scientific potential of ESU member universities and conduct joint research in artificial intelligence and robotics to implement evidence-based macroeconomic policies in the EAEU countries.

On November 15, 2023, the Higher School of Economics and Business of I. Razzakov KSTU held a Round Table on the topic “Digitalization as a Factor in the Development of Science and Business in Kyrgyzstan: Realities and Prospects” in the Large Assembly Hall of Campus 2 named after N. Isanov. The Department of Economics and Enterprise Management was responsible for organizing the Round Table.
The event was attended by stakeholders and employers of the Higher School of Economics and Business of I. Razzakov KSTU. The purpose of the Round Table was to create a platform for dialogue between representatives of educational institutions and stakeholders in the field of digital transformation of education and business to develop recommendations.
This event aimed to discuss current trends and challenges in the digitalization of educational processes and business, and to find optimal ways for their successful implementation. Connecting universities to digital platforms allows for the sharing of relevant scientific information with the global scientific community. Thanks to access to a variety of scientific works and research of universities, it is possible to present the results of their work to all interested parties, especially scientific communities and business representatives.
The Round Table was attended by heads of educational programs, heads of departments and the Directorate of the Higher School of Economics and Business of I. Razzakov KSTU, representatives of certain government agencies, and representatives of business. Issues of modern labor market needs in the age of digitalization were studied, taking into account the requirements of public authorities and private businesses in Kyrgyzstan, and issues of close cooperation in education and employment were discussed.

All-Republican Olympiad
The team from the "FAА" Department of KSTU named after I. Razzakov, consisting of students from group FC-1-21 — Joldoshbek U.A., Omarbekov R., Begaliyev Ch., Alisherov B., secured an honorable 3rd place in the FinOlympic competition, the national Olympiad of a new format in finance, marketing, auditing, and data science among students and young professionals - Elkart-FinOlymp 2024.
The Olympiad was organized by the ProKG Professionals Club and the public foundation "Bilimduu." This event is held annually since 2018, and over the years, 3000 students have participated, with 100 of them securing employment.
Goals and objectives of the project:

Popularization of financial, economic, and information technology education among the youth;

Creating a favorable environment for interaction between employers and job seekers;

Identifying talented students and young professionals and assisting them in finding employment and internships with leading companies in the country;

Contributing to the formation of a well-rounded youth of the new generation, capable of solving major economic and social problems of society;

The prize fund for this project in 2024: USD 2,000 and the opportunity for internships and practical experience at the largest companies in Kyrgyzstan.

Participants: Young professionals and students from all regions of Kyrgyzstan.
Age limit: 18 to 25 years.
First round: 2,000 participants. Individual participation. Online testing on the basics of the disciplines (finance and economics, marketing, auditing, and accounting).
Second round: 2,000 participants. Individual participation. Online solution of open-ended questions based on business cases provided by partner companies. Business cases were divided into areas of finance and economics, marketing, auditing, and accounting.
Final: Up to 150 participants. The finalists were tasked with solving the challenges presented by companies within a given time frame, developing a product or solution, and presenting it to the jury members.

National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE), Moscow
The faculty members of the "Finance, Analysis, and Accounting" Department of the Higher School of Economics and Business, PhD, Associate Professor Aynura Sabyrbekovna Ryspaeva and Senior Lecturer Asel Kubatbekovna Samaybekova, completed a scientific and pedagogical internship at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Moscow. During their visit, the original agreement on cooperation and exchange, signed between HSE and KSTU at the university-wide level, was handed over. The agreement opens up new opportunities for academic exchange for students, joint research and publications, as well as for organizing cultural and scientific events.
During the internship, they met with the Vice-Deans of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) – D.A. Veselov (Research), N.P. Pil'nik (Project work and interaction with partners), L.S. Zasimova (International activities), I.V. Ivashkovskaya (Head of the School of Finance), and O.E. Chernenko (Director of Educational Innovations).

The specialist of the FEM International Department, Elizaveta Massenkova, conducted a campus and library tour for the KSTU representatives and accompanied them to meetings with faculty members and program directors. This allowed them to gain a more detailed understanding of the university's educational environment and working methods. The internship became an important step in strengthening the partnership between the universities and developing joint initiatives in the field of education and science.
Technical University of Liberec (Czech Republic)
Head of the "FAА" Department, PhD, Associate Professor Umurzakova U.M., and Senior Lecturer Begalieva G.T. completed an internship at the Technical University of Liberec (Czech Republic) as part of the Erasmus+ academic mobility program starting on October 5, 2024. This program provides educators with a unique opportunity to expand their knowledge, exchange experiences, and deepen their competencies. The faculty members conducted classes in English on financial accounting and finance for second and third-year students. Participation in the program opened up new perspectives in the fields of science and education, allowing the participants to better understand teaching methodologies, conduct research, and implement innovations in the educational process, which enriched their professional experience and strengthened academic ties.

X REPUBLICAN INTERUNIVERSITY STUDENT OLYMPIAD "FINANCE, ACCOUNTING, ANALYSIS, AND AUDIT," DEDICATED TO THE 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF KSTU NAMED AFTER I. RAZZAKOV.
We invite you to participate in the 10th Republican Interuniversity Student Olympiad in Finance, Accounting, Analysis, and Audit, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of KSTU named after I. Razzakov, which will be held at the following address: Bishkek, Mallybaeva St. 34b, Isanova Campus, Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov.
Objective: To strengthen cooperation among students, faculty members, and departments of universities in the Kyrgyz Republic, and to raise the prestige of the professions of accountant, financier, and auditor.
Goals:

Improving the quality of training for specialists in the fields of "Accounting and Audit" and "Finance and Credit."

Strengthening professional cooperation among students and faculty members of universities.

Format: In-person.
Organizing Committee: The committee is formed from the teaching staff of the Department.
Olympiad will be held in 2 areas:

Regulations for Task Completion:

Individual Competition: Tasks are prepared in the form of small problems for each discipline. There are 7 tasks in the "Accounting, Analysis, and Audit" direction and 4 tasks in the "Finance and Taxes" direction. Each task must include the full name and university. Each question is graded from 10 to 25 points depending on its difficulty.

Team Competition: Tasks are prepared in the form of tests across five disciplines (Accounting, Analysis, Audit, Finance, and Taxes). Each test question has 4 answer choices, from which the team must select only one correct answer. Each test question has a time limit of 0.5 to 1.5 minutes.
Determining the Olympiad Winners:
Tasks are evaluated on a 100-point scale:

90-100 points: 1st place

75-89 points: 2nd place
-
60-74 points: 3rd place
Each university, through the responsible faculty member for conducting the Olympiad at the institution, must register participants by sending an application to the organizing committee via email: bua_ksucta@mail.ru

"Kyrgyz language and the world of Aitmatov"
From September 18 to December 18, 2023, under the program of the "Kyrgyz Language and the World of Aitmatov" three-month state language campaign, organized by the National Commission on State Language and Language Policy under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, students of the "FAA" Department actively participated in competitions and reviews organized by the Ministry of Education and Science. Within the framework of this event, the following students from the "FAA" Department were awarded prizes and received diplomas. Additionally, Associate Professor A.S. Ryspaeva, along with her students from the Beka and FC-1-23 groups, visited the home-museum of the great writer Ch.T. Aitmatov.

Activities to combat gambling.
On January 30, 2023, the department organized the following activities to combat illegal gambling among students:

A roundtable discussion was held among students, jointly with curators and faculty, where the negative impact of gambling on the formation and consciousness of youth in Kyrgyzstan was discussed.

A lecture titled "Computer Games – A Social Evil of Society" was conducted for first- and second-year students of the department.

Students from the BUA, FC-1-22 groups created a display stand highlighting the negative impact of gambling on youth.
-
Students from the FC-1-20 group created a corner dedicated to preventing gambling addiction.
-
Students from the BUA-1-20 group filmed a video about youth addiction to gambling and the consequences it leads to.
-
An online meeting was held with parents to encourage them to talk with their children about the impact of gambling computer games on their health and to prevent addiction.

Curator hours were conducted for all groups in the department.

Announcement regarding the International Mother Language Day
In accordance with the order issued on February 1, 2023, regarding the announcement of a one-month celebration for International Mother Language Day, events were held at the Department.

Round Table titled “Innovations in the Professions of Accountant and Financier in the Labor Market under Digitalization.” On April 18, 2024,
On April 18, 2024, the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov hosted a Round Table titled “Innovations in the Professions of Accountant and Financier in the Labor Market under Digitalization.” The event brought together leading experts, representatives of government bodies, businesses, academia, and students to discuss current issues of digital transformation in accounting and finance.
The purpose of the Round Table was to create a dialogue platform among educational institutions and stakeholders regarding the impact of digitalization on the professions of accountant and financier, and to identify innovative approaches and strategies for effective performance in the labor market.
Objectives of the Round Table:
to assess the impact of digital technologies on the changing professional competencies of accountants and financiers;
to exchange experience on successful adaptation to new digital work environments;
to develop recommendations for training and retraining professionals in accounting and finance in the context of digital transformation;
to identify points of interaction with employers when defining learning objectives and outcomes for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs.
A welcoming speech was delivered by M.K. Chynybaev, Rector of KSTU, Ch.K. Sydykova, Director of the Higher School of Economics and Business, and U.M. Omurzakova, Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance, who wished participants active involvement and fruitful discussions.
The discussion saw active participation from representatives of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, the State Financial Supervision Department under the Ministry of Economy, and other government agencies, as well as more than 40 lecturers from 15 universities.
As a result of the event, a resolution was adopted. Participants highly appreciated the level of discussion and the active engagement of all stakeholders. The Round Table fostered knowledge exchange, identification of key professional trends, and the establishment of networking connections within the professional community.
Kyrgyz State Technical University expresses its gratitude to all participants and partners for their valuable contributions to the success of the event, and hopes that the outcomes will further strengthen the accounting and finance sectors in the fast-changing digital environment.
