At the ceremonial event dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov, Cholpon Kachkynbekovna Sadykova, Associate Professor of the "Finance, Analysis, and Accounting" Department and Director of the Higher School of Economics and Business, was awarded the anniversary medal "For Outstanding Contribution to the Development of the University." This award was presented in recognition of the honored staff members of the university and in celebration of their fruitful work. We sincerely congratulate our colleague on behalf of the department!

Associate Professor of the "Finance, Analysis, and Accounting" Department, Sh.Kh. Atakhojaev, was awarded on October 23, 2024, for his significant contribution to the development of economic science, the training of highly qualified specialists, and achievements in research aimed at strengthening the economic stability and progress of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, with an Honorary Certificate from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The team from the "FAА" Department of KSTU named after I. Razzakov, consisting of students from group FC-1-21 — Joldoshbek U.A., Omarbekov R., Begaliyev Ch., Alisherov B., secured an honorable 3rd place in the FinOlympic competition, the national Olympiad of a new format in finance, marketing, auditing, and data science among students and young professionals - Elkart-FinOlymp 2024.

The Olympiad was organized by the ProKG Professionals Club and the public foundation "Bilimduu." This event is held annually since 2018, and over the years, 3000 students have participated, with 100 of them securing employment.

Goals and objectives of the project:

• Popularization of financial, economic, and information technology education among the youth;

• Creating a favorable environment for interaction between employers and job seekers;

• Identifying talented students and young professionals and assisting them in finding employment and internships with leading companies in the country;

• Contributing to the formation of a well-rounded youth of the new generation, capable of solving major economic and social problems of society;

• Stimulating and motivating students and young professionals to engage in self-learning and personal growth.

The prize fund for this project in 2024: USD 2,000 and the opportunity for internships and practical experience at the largest companies in Kyrgyzstan.

Project format for 2024:

Disciplines: Finance and Economics, Marketing, Auditing, and Accounting.

Participants: Young professionals and students from all regions of Kyrgyzstan.

Age limit: 18 to 25 years.

First round: 2,000 participants. Individual participation. Online testing on the basics of the disciplines (finance and economics, marketing, auditing, and accounting).

Second round: 2,000 participants. Individual participation. Online solution of open-ended questions based on business cases provided by partner companies. Business cases were divided into areas of finance and economics, marketing, auditing, and accounting.

Final: Up to 150 participants. The finalists were tasked with solving the challenges presented by companies within a given time frame, developing a product or solution, and presenting it to the jury members.

Key points of the Olympiad:

• 2,000 participants,

• 20 companies,

• Final on October 19.

The faculty members of the "Finance, Analysis, and Accounting" Department of the Higher School of Economics and Business, PhD, Associate Professor Aynura Sabyrbekovna Ryspaeva and Senior Lecturer Asel Kubatbekovna Samaybekova, completed a scientific and pedagogical internship at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Moscow. During their visit, the original agreement on cooperation and exchange, signed between HSE and KSTU at the university-wide level, was handed over. The agreement opens up new opportunities for academic exchange for students, joint research and publications, as well as for organizing cultural and scientific events.

During the internship, they met with the Vice-Deans of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) – D.A. Veselov (Research), N.P. Pil'nik (Project work and interaction with partners), L.S. Zasimova (International activities), I.V. Ivashkovskaya (Head of the School of Finance), and O.E. Chernenko (Director of Educational Innovations).

As part of their intensive program, they familiarized themselves with the main principles and approaches to the university’s educational activities, discussed the digitalization of the educational process and the use of the latest technologies in teaching, which became particularly relevant in light of current challenges.

The Vice-Deans of FEM shared their experience in the development of project activities and the integration of scientific research into the educational process, which contributes to the improvement of the quality of education.

The specialist of the FEM International Department, Elizaveta Massenkova, conducted a campus and library tour for the KSTU representatives and accompanied them to meetings with faculty members and program directors. This allowed them to gain a more detailed understanding of the university's educational environment and working methods. The internship became an important step in strengthening the partnership between the universities and developing joint initiatives in the field of education and science.

Head of the "FAА" Department, PhD, Associate Professor Umurzakova U.M., and Senior Lecturer Begalieva G.T. completed an internship at the Technical University of Liberec (Czech Republic) as part of the Erasmus+ academic mobility program starting on October 5, 2024. This program provides educators with a unique opportunity to expand their knowledge, exchange experiences, and deepen their competencies. The faculty members conducted classes in English on financial accounting and finance for second and third-year students. Participation in the program opened up new perspectives in the fields of science and education, allowing the participants to better understand teaching methodologies, conduct research, and implement innovations in the educational process, which enriched their professional experience and strengthened academic ties.

Completing this academic mobility program is not only a step toward professional growth but also an opportunity for personal development, cultural enrichment, and broadening one's horizons.

Student of group FC-1-20, Shakhnosa Mamatbaeva, successfully completed the International Educational Internship "Study Tour Experience" during the winter semester of 2023/2024 from February 12 to 26, 2024, at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE), Moscow.

Students of the "Finance, Analysis, and Accounting" Department participated in the All-Russian Interuniversity Student Economic Olympiad "Business Analysis and Risk Management," organized by the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics (Moscow).

The team "Innovators" (Bakhtarbekova A. and Chonbagyshova N., group BUA-1-21) advanced to the second stage of the Olympiad, where they were required to solve a case.

The team "Economists" (Dyushengazyyeva A., group BUA-1-20, Sanysyz kyzy A., group FC-1-20), as well as Saparbekov A., group BUA-1-20, as part of the HSEB team, were awarded certificates.

On April 18, 2024, Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov hosted the 10th Republican Interuniversity Student Olympiad "Finance, Accounting, Analysis, and Audit," dedicated to the 70th anniversary of KSTU. The Olympiad was held among students of universities in the Kyrgyz Republic studying in the fields of "Accounting, Analysis, and Audit" and "Finance and Credit."

The goal of the Olympiad: To improve the quality of education and increase the prestige of the professions of accountant and financier, as well as to strengthen cooperation between teachers and departments of universities in the Kyrgyz Republic.

A total of 14 universities from 5 regions of Kyrgyzstan participated in the Olympiad, including:

Each university sent 4 students to participate. The participants were given tasks in the subjects "Accounting," "Financial Analysis," "Audit," "Finance," and "Taxes."

The Olympiad consisted of 2 rounds: individual competition (2 students from each profile) and a team tournament (4 students from each university).

The Olympiad was conducted based on the "Regulations for the Olympiad in the profiles 'Accounting, Analysis, and Audit' and 'Finance and Credit' in the direction 580100 'Economics,'" developed by the "Finance, Analysis, and Accounting" department, which acted as the organizer. To ensure transparency and objective evaluation of the results, qualified experts from employers were invited, including:

The Olympiad was opened by the rector of KSTU named after I. Razzakov, M.K. Chynbaev, who welcomed all participants and wished them success. A welcoming speech was also given by the Rector's Advisor A.A. Abdykalykov, Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic B.A. Aliyev, Director of the Higher School of Economics and Business C.K. Sydykova, and Head of the "FAA" Department U.M. Omurzakova, who encouraged the participants to showcase their best skills and actively participate.

From September 18 to December 18, 2023, under the program of the "Kyrgyz Language and the World of Aitmatov" three-month state language campaign, organized by the National Commission on State Language and Language Policy under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, students of the "FAA" Department actively participated in competitions and reviews organized by the Ministry of Education and Science. Within the framework of this event, the following students from the "FAA" Department were awarded prizes and received diplomas. Additionally, Associate Professor A.S. Ryspaeva, along with her students from the Beka and FC-1-23 groups, visited the home-museum of the great writer Ch.T. Aitmatov.

On April 3, 2023, students from groups BUA, FC-1-22, and EKOb-1-22, along with their curator, Senior Lecturer G.T. Begalieva, visited the Kyrgyz Drama Theatre named after T. Abdymomunov to watch the play "Borbash" (a grotesque comedy).

For their active participation in the "GATSBY - 2023" competition, held among the university's institutes in celebration of International Women's Day on March 8, students from group FC-1-21, A. Kasymbekova and A. Kulmurzaeva, were awarded a letter of appreciation.

On January 30, 2023, the department organized the following activities to combat illegal gambling among students:

• A roundtable discussion was held among students, jointly with curators and faculty, where the negative impact of gambling on the formation and consciousness of youth in Kyrgyzstan was discussed.

• A lecture titled "Computer Games – A Social Evil of Society" was conducted for first- and second-year students of the department.

• Students from the BUA, FC-1-22 groups created a display stand highlighting the negative impact of gambling on youth.

• Students from the FC-1-20 group created a corner dedicated to preventing gambling addiction.

• Students from the BUA-1-20 group filmed a video about youth addiction to gambling and the consequences it leads to.

• An online meeting was held with parents to encourage them to talk with their children about the impact of gambling computer games on their health and to prevent addiction.

• Curator hours were conducted for all groups in the department.

In accordance with the order issued on February 1, 2023, regarding the announcement of a one-month celebration for International Mother Language Day, events were held at the  Department.

Additionally, as part of this event, students participated in the review competitions organized by the Ministry of Education and Science between departments. As a result, the following students from the  Department received awards and were honored with diplomas.
