"Summer University" at UrFU (Russia)-2024
Ayana Baktarbekova, 3rd year student of BUA-1-21 group, took part in the ‘Summer University’ project at UrFU (Russia)
On 19 July the Summer University project, which united students from different countries, came to an end at UrFU. For a fortnight the participants immersed themselves in the culture of Russia and other nations, expanded their professional horizons and developed projects.
On the final day, the students defended their projects before a competent jury. The best projects were ‘Application of modern innovative technologies for business development (Pharmacy Blockchain)’ among Russian-speaking teams and ‘Production of the amino acid lysine’ among English-speaking programmes. The end of the project was celebrated with a concert, flash mob and disco.
The educational programme included nine areas, with classes conducted by Ural Federal University professors with extensive experience. The participants visited the best museums of the Sverdlovsk region and industrial tours to the leading enterprises of the city.
The Summer University was attended by 400 students from Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, South Ossetia, Moldova, Uzbekistan, India, Mexico, Algeria, Jordan and South Africa. At the same time, the project was launched at Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University and Siberian Federal University, where more than 1,200 students from 25 countries participated.
Northwest University-2024
On 16 May 2024 in the walls of KSTU named after I. Razzakov a meeting with the delegation of the North-West University (China) took place.
During the meeting they discussed the issues of organisation of student exchange, implementation of ‘Double Diploma’ educational programmes under the joint educational programme ‘International Trade and E-Commerce’ with the Higher School of Economics and Business, coordination of curricula and academic programmes, as well as mutual support in the organisation of internships and research projects.
The meeting resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding and Co-operation in Education, Research and Promotion to promote education and research between the two universities.
As part of the visit, the delegation from Northwestern University was introduced to the centres and laboratories of the university. This exchange of experience and knowledge was an important step to further deepen co-operation between KSTU and Chinese partners.
This agreement opens new opportunities for students, contributing to their professional development and competitiveness in the labour market.
Scientific and pedagogical practice at Almaty Technological University (Kazakstan) - 2024
Teachers of the Department of ‘Finance, Analysis and Accounting’ Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor E.I. Murzalieva and Senior Lecturer G.Sh. Murzalieva E.I. and senior lecturer Asanova G.Sh. have passed scientific and pedagogical internship from 23.04.24g. to 25.04.24g. on the basis of the department of ‘Accounting and Finance’ of the Faculty of Economics and Business of Almaty Technological University (Kazakstan). Within the framework of this internship they got acquainted with the educational process, curricula, exchanged experiments, taught classes to students of 2-3 courses.
Scientific and pedagogical internship at Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service, Samarkand, Uzbekistan - 2024
From 10 to 17 March 2024 teachers of the department Ryspaeva A.S. and Begalieva G.T. have passed Scientific and pedagogical internship in Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service at the departments of ‘Accounting and Audit in the branches’, ‘Investment and Innovation’ in the city of Samarkand (Uzbekistan).
During the week-long internship they familiarised themselves with the experience of teaching at this university. They also conducted a number of classes according to the pre-determined plan on the disciplines ‘Accounting’ and ‘Taxes and Taxation’
"WELCOME TO ENU" -2024
Student of the group BUA-1-21 Toibolotova Meerim in the spring semester 2024 participated in the outgoing academic mobility programme ‘WELCOME TO ENU’ in the L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University/Republic of Kazakhstan. This programme provides the opportunity to study at ENU during the spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year.
As part of the implementation of the programme ‘WELCOME TO ENU’ :
- students can choose courses taught in Kazakh, Russian (here) and English (here).
- ENU provides comfortable and modern accommodation in the student house exclusively for international students.
- The Welcome Centre provides support and resources to help international students integrate smoothly into the academic environment.
- Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of cultural and educational activities.

Since October 1, 2015 began the development of the international project on the mobility of undergraduates in the direction of ‘Economics’ programme ‘Finance and Credit’ together with the University of Applied Sciences Faculty of Economics , Zwickau, Germany. In the framework of this project from 2016 to 2017 teachers of the department ‘BUA’ Sydykova Ch.K., Abdyldaeva U.M. underwent scientific and pedagogical training in the West Saxony University of Applied Sciences, Zwickau, Germany, Moldokmatov U.N. in the Vienna University of Economics, Vienna, Austria. Within the framework of the international project on the mobility of Master students in the direction of ‘Economics’ programme ‘Finance and Credit’ in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Faculty of Economics, Zwickau, Germany. ‘The guest lecture on ‘Financial Management’ by Prof. Kuntz R., Prof. F. Richter and also online guest lecture by Prof. F. Richter and the coordinator of international relations Soren Forester from the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences, Zwickau, Germany was organised.

Workshop on Research Methodology organised by Central Asia University Partnerships Programme (UniCEN), supported by the American Councils for International Education (ACIE)
Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Ulan Nurlanovich Moldokmatov underwent advanced training from 1 May to 3 May 2023 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, participated in the seminar on research methodology organised by Central Asia University Partnerships Program (UniCEN). Supported by the American Councils for International Education.
The goal of the UniCEN programme is to build capacity for significant international collaboration between US and Central Asian (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan) higher education institutions. UniCEN is funded by the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan and administered by the American Councils for International Education.
Khanjan Mehta Professor at Lehigh University (USA), Jay Turner Professor at Washington University (USA), Hamid Reza Shahbazkia, Associate Professor at Westminster International University (Uzbekistan), Rauf Salakhodjaev Professor at Tashkent State University of Economics (Uzbekistan) conducted interactive trainings on research methodology to enhance research capacity, increase the number of joint U.S.-Central Asian publications that will be submitted to international peer-reviewed journals to promote interdisciplinary research, and the development of a new Fulbright programme.
During the workshop, Harris Lipsomb and Saida Musakhanova of the Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent provided detailed information on Fulbright application procedures.
For the 2024-2025 academic year
Opening of the Silk Road International Trade Cooperation Centre – a platform for studying modern trends in the global economy and developing international business.
On 15 March, the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov hosted the inauguration of the joint campus established in partnership with the Northwest University of China. This significant event marked a new stage in the development of international co-operation in education and science.
The campus includes two key facilities:
The Sino-Kyrgyz Joint Laboratory for Dynamic Disasters and Mitigation in Special Soils and Rocks, an innovative platform for research and development of natural disaster prevention methods.
Silk Road International Trade Cooperation Centre - a platform for studying modern trends in the world economy and international business development.
During the event, three strategic agreements were signed in the presence of a delegation from Shaanxi Province and representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic:
1. Agreement on co-operation between Northwest University of China and KSTU named after I. Razzakov in the field of exchange of teachers and students.
2. Agreement on the joint educational programme of bachelor's degree ‘2+2’ in the direction of ‘International Economics and Trade’ (cross-border e-commerce).
3. Agreement on the joint educational programme of Bachelor's degree in the direction of ‘International trade and e-business’.
The Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic emphasised the significance of these initiatives, noting that they open new horizons for students and teachers, promote the integration of modern technologies into the educational process and the development of highly qualified personnel for the country's economy.
The opening of the joint campus strengthens the international co-operation of KSTU and creates new opportunities for students wishing to receive quality education with international career prospects.
For the 2024-2025 academic year
Технический университет Либереца (Чехия)
Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Umurzakova U.M. and Senior Lecturer Begalieva G.T. underwent internship in Liberec Technical University (Czech Republic) within the framework of Erasmus+ academic mobility from 5 October 2024. This programme provides teachers with a unique opportunity to expand their knowledge, exchange experience and deepen their competences. The lecturers taught classes in English on financial accounting and finance for 2nd and 3rd year students. Participation in the programme opened new perspectives in science and education, allowing participants to better understand teaching methodologies, conduct research and innovate in the teaching process, which enriched their professional experience and strengthened academic ties.
Completing this academic mobility programme is not only a step towards professional growth, but also an opportunity for personal development, cultural enrichment and broadening of horizons.

In November, teachers of the department of ‘Finance, Analysis and Accounting’ of the Higher School of Economics and Business: candidate of economic sciences, associate professor Ainura Sabyrbekovna Ryspaeva and senior teacher Asel Kubatbekovna Samaybekova underwent scientific and pedagogical training in the National Research University Higher School of Economics and Business (Moscow). During the visit the original of the agreement on co-operation and exchange concluded between the National Research University Higher School of Economics and KSTU at the university level was handed over. The agreement opens new horizons for academic exchange of students, joint research and publications, as well as for the organisation of cultural and scientific events.
During the internship they met with Deputy Deans of FES - for scientific work Veselov D.A., for project work and interaction with partners Pilnik N.P., for international activities Zasimova L.S., Head of the School of Finance Ivashkovskaya I.V., as well as Director of Educational Innovations Chernenko O.E..
Within the framework of the rich programme of the visit they got acquainted with the main principles and approaches of educational activity of the University, discussed digitalisation of the educational process and the use of the latest technologies in teaching, which became especially relevant in the light of modern challenges.
Elizaveta Masenkova, a specialist of the International Department of FES, took the KSTU representatives on a tour of the campus and library of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, and accompanied them to meetings with professors and programme managers, which allowed them to become more familiar with the educational environment and working methods of the university. The internship was an important step towards strengthening partnerships between the universities and developing joint initiatives in education and science
Northwest university
From 28 to 30 October 2024 Prof. Songji Wang- Dean of the Graduate School of Economics and Management and the Department of ‘World Economy and Trade’ of Northwest University and Prof. Rong Kang- Deputy Dean for International Relations of the Graduate School of Economics and Management paid a working visit to the department. During the visit further vectors of co-operation between the universities were discussed.
Within the framework of the visit there was also a meeting with the students enrolled in the 2+2 programme ‘International Trade and Electronic Commerce’. They were awarded certificates of enrolment also in Northwest university in China, which opens them additional opportunities for study and career development abroad.
Special attention should be paid to the meeting with Prof. Songji Wang and Prof. Rong Kang, who discussed with the director of HSEB Sydykova Ch.K. and representatives of our department the prospects of co-operation between our educational institutions. They discussed the possibilities of academic exchanges, joint scientific research and publications, as well as joint training of personnel for business and economy.
In general, the visit of Prof. Songji Wang and Prof. Rong Kang was an important event for our department and gave a new impetus to the development of co-operation with Northwest University (China).

Workshop on Research Methodology organised by Central Asia University Partnerships Programme (UniCEN), supported by the American Councils for International Education (ACIE)
Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Ulan Nurlanovich Moldokmatov underwent advanced training from 1 May to 3 May 2023 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, participated in the seminar on research methodology organised by Central Asia University Partnerships Program (UniCEN). Supported by the American Councils for International Education.
The goal of the UniCEN programme is to build capacity for significant international collaboration between US and Central Asian (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan) higher education institutions. UniCEN is funded by the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan and administered by the American Councils for International Education.
Khanjan Mehta Professor at Lehigh University (USA), Jay Turner Professor at Washington University (USA), Hamid Reza Shahbazkia, Associate Professor at Westminster International University (Uzbekistan), Rauf Salakhodjaev Professor at Tashkent State University of Economics (Uzbekistan) conducted interactive trainings on research methodology to enhance research capacity, increase the number of joint U.S.-Central Asian publications that will be submitted to international peer-reviewed journals to promote interdisciplinary research, and the development of a new Fulbright programme.
During the workshop, Harris Lipsomb and Saida Musakhanova of the Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent provided detailed information on Fulbright application procedures.

Opening of the Silk Road International Trade Cooperation Centre – a platform for studying modern trends in the global economy and developing international business.
On 15 March, the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov hosted the inauguration of the joint campus established in partnership with the Northwest University of China. This significant event marked a new stage in the development of international co-operation in education and science.
The campus includes two key facilities:
The Sino-Kyrgyz Joint Laboratory for Dynamic Disasters and Mitigation in Special Soils and Rocks, an innovative platform for research and development of natural disaster prevention methods.
Silk Road International Trade Cooperation Centre - a platform for studying modern trends in the world economy and international business development.
During the event, three strategic agreements were signed in the presence of a delegation from Shaanxi Province and representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic:
1. Agreement on co-operation between Northwest University of China and KSTU named after I. Razzakov in the field of exchange of teachers and students.
2. Agreement on the joint educational programme of bachelor's degree ‘2+2’ in the direction of ‘International Economics and Trade’ (cross-border e-commerce).
3. Agreement on the joint educational programme of Bachelor's degree in the direction of ‘International trade and e-business’.
The Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic emphasised the significance of these initiatives, noting that they open new horizons for students and teachers, promote the integration of modern technologies into the educational process and the development of highly qualified personnel for the country's economy.
The opening of the joint campus strengthens the international co-operation of KSTU and creates new opportunities for students wishing to receive quality education with international career prospects.

Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Umurzakova U.M. and Senior Lecturer Begalieva G.T. underwent internship in Liberec Technical University (Czech Republic) within the framework of Erasmus+ academic mobility from 5 October 2024. This programme provides teachers with a unique opportunity to expand their knowledge, exchange experience and deepen their competences. The lecturers taught classes in English on financial accounting and finance for 2nd and 3rd year students. Participation in the programme opened new perspectives in science and education, allowing participants to better understand teaching methodologies, conduct research and innovate in the teaching process, which enriched their professional experience and strengthened academic ties.
Completing this academic mobility programme is not only a step towards professional growth, but also an opportunity for personal development, cultural enrichment and broadening of horizons.

In November, teachers of the department of ‘Finance, Analysis and Accounting’ of the Higher School of Economics and Business: candidate of economic sciences, associate professor Ainura Sabyrbekovna Ryspaeva and senior teacher Asel Kubatbekovna Samaybekova underwent scientific and pedagogical training in the National Research University Higher School of Economics and Business (Moscow). During the visit the original of the agreement on co-operation and exchange concluded between the National Research University Higher School of Economics and KSTU at the university level was handed over. The agreement opens new horizons for academic exchange of students, joint research and publications, as well as for the organisation of cultural and scientific events.
During the internship they met with Deputy Deans of FES - for scientific work Veselov D.A., for project work and interaction with partners Pilnik N.P., for international activities Zasimova L.S., Head of the School of Finance Ivashkovskaya I.V., as well as Director of Educational Innovations Chernenko O.E..
Within the framework of the rich programme of the visit they got acquainted with the main principles and approaches of educational activity of the University, discussed digitalisation of the educational process and the use of the latest technologies in teaching, which became especially relevant in the light of modern challenges.
Elizaveta Masenkova, a specialist of the International Department of FES, took the KSTU representatives on a tour of the campus and library of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, and accompanied them to meetings with professors and programme managers, which allowed them to become more familiar with the educational environment and working methods of the university. The internship was an important step towards strengthening partnerships between the universities and developing joint initiatives in education and science
Northwest university
From 28 to 30 October 2024 Prof. Songji Wang- Dean of the Graduate School of Economics and Management and the Department of ‘World Economy and Trade’ of Northwest University and Prof. Rong Kang- Deputy Dean for International Relations of the Graduate School of Economics and Management paid a working visit to the department. During the visit further vectors of co-operation between the universities were discussed.
Within the framework of the visit there was also a meeting with the students enrolled in the 2+2 programme ‘International Trade and Electronic Commerce’. They were awarded certificates of enrolment also in Northwest university in China, which opens them additional opportunities for study and career development abroad.
Special attention should be paid to the meeting with Prof. Songji Wang and Prof. Rong Kang, who discussed with the director of HSEB Sydykova Ch.K. and representatives of our department the prospects of co-operation between our educational institutions. They discussed the possibilities of academic exchanges, joint scientific research and publications, as well as joint training of personnel for business and economy.
In general, the visit of Prof. Songji Wang and Prof. Rong Kang was an important event for our department and gave a new impetus to the development of co-operation with Northwest University (China).
