Research work


The scientific interests of the department lie in the use of hydraulic, wind, solar energy, as well as other types of renewable energy sources.

The scientists of the department, together with masters and graduate students, are actively conducting research work. The department prepares teaching and research personnel of the highest qualification - candidates of technical sciences.

Candidates of science are trained in the specialty:

05.14.08 - Power plants based on renewable energy.

In recent years, Ph.D. theses were defended by: Tagaimatova A.A., Isaev R.E., Zhabudaev T.Zh., Akparalyev R.A., Mederov T.T. Continuing his studies in Germany defended his doctoral work Botpaev R.M.

Currently, 8 graduate students are studying at the department under the supervision of a doctor of technical sciences, prof. Obozova A.J. and candidate of technical sciences, prof. Satarkulova K.A.

The department conducted work on 3 international projects:

  • Kyrgyz-German-Kazakh project “Energy Efficiency in Central Asian Universities”, 2014-2016 (125842 euros);
  • Kyrgyz-Russian project. Russian Institute of High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences. "A study of the efficiency of using solar energy for electricity and heat supply to consumers in the climatic conditions of Kyrgyzstan and southern Russia." 2014-2016 (1.5 million soms).
  • Development of micro hydroelectric power stations for autonomous consumers. 2013-2015 (37 million tenge).  

Under the Phd program, 2 doctoral students from the Republic of Kazakhstan are studying.

A Memorandum of Cooperation between the Westschsische Graduate School - University of Applied Sciences, Germany and KSTU named after I. Razzakova on training students in the specialty "Hydroelectricity", as well as exchange students, improve the qualifications of faculty, exchange publications and scientific information.

- Scientific centers of India, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

In the laboratory of alternative energy sources, students of the summer school with representatives of the DAAD program are trained. During the school year, the laboratory of alternative energy sources was visited by delegations of foreign countries, such as Tajikistan, Russia, Germany, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus.
