Dear applicants!!!
Do you wonder what you want to become in the future? Today, everyone aims to choose a profession of the future. But what does a “profession of the future” mean? It is a field that is based on theoretical knowledge and focuses on solving problems using innovative ideas, modern technologies, and advanced skills. Now, briefly about our profession:
Our country is one of the leading countries in Central Asia in terms of water resources. One of the key sectors of industrial development is the water management complex, which includes hydropower and hydromelioration. As we know, today a significant share of the world’s freshwater is irreversibly consumed not directly by people (for drinking, household use, etc.), but by agriculture (irrigation) and industry. This directly affects sustainable development, as well as socio-economic growth, energy production, and food security. At present, electricity generated by hydropower plants remains highly relevant, as it is one of the cheapest sources of energy and environmentally friendly.
Water resources also play a fundamental role in climate change adaptation, acting as a crucial link between society and the environment. Therefore, rational use and proper management of water resources are essential. To preserve water resources and solve engineering challenges, highly qualified professionals are required. The demand for water resource engineers and hydraulic engineers in hydrotechnical construction is growing every year.
The Department of Structural Mechanics and Hydraulic Engineering Construction of the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after Iskhak Razzakov provides training for specialists in the fields of “Hydrotechnical Construction” and “Water Resources and Water Use.”
