The department conducts educational work by teachers for students of the direction 670100 - Land transport-technological machines and complexes.
The educational work of the department is planned annually and is present in the form of an independent section. Every year at the department approved curators of groups, which make plans for educational work with groups and lead "Journal of the curator of the student group" in the approved form.
The lecturers promote a healthy lifestyle among students: in the lecture material and at the classes they tell about the harm of smoking and alcohol consumption and the diseases connected with these habits - laryngeal cancer, inner ear diseases, etc.
All lecturers of the department are actively involved in extracurricular forms of educational work, which are carried out during duty in the dormitories.
The system of work with backward students and encouragement of excellent students is as follows. At each cycle of study (after 5-6 classes) the information about laggards is submitted to the directorate and analyzed at departmental meetings.
Active individual educational work is carried out with the active participation of deputy directors of institutes for educational work. High performance during classes is taken into account when taking exams.
The discipline's programs include issues related to the history of the department, ethical issues in the specialty, issues related to the education of the qualities of a citizen, patriot and professional, influencing the development of a personality.
Students are regularly assigned to carry out research reports on the problems of transport and technological machines and complexes.
