International Collaboration

International Cooperation

The Department of "Architectural Environment Design" (AED) carries out scientific cooperation within the framework of international partnership agreements, contracts, joint projects, participation in conferences, round tables, seminars, webinars, and membership in scientific societies with the following organizations:

• Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering (KAZGASA);
• Moscow Architectural Institute (MARCHI);
• French Institute for Central Asian Studies (IFEAC);
• Tajik Technical University named after Academician M.S. Osimi (Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation dated September 1, 2019);
• Leading architectural educational centers of Russia, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan (via SACR, MASA, and MAAM);
• Boris Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU), Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Construction — joint research cooperation (Departments of "Architecture" - Muxinov R.M., "Architectural Environment Design" - Nasirdinova A.M., and "Basics of Architectural Design" - Smirnov Yu.N.);
• State Agency for Architecture, Construction, and Housing and Communal Services under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic (Gosstroy KR) (Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation dated February 19, 2020);
• Municipal Enterprise "Bishkekglavarkhitektura" (BGA) (Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation dated September 1, 2019);
• Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic (Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation dated February 22, 2019).

Student Academic Mobility

Academic mobility of students is carried out based on the "Regulations on the organization of academic mobility for students, pedagogical, scientific, and other employees of KSTU named after I. Razzakov."

• International Mobility: Under the 750200 "AED" program, Mairam Baktiyarovna Baktiyarova (group AED 3-21) participated in academic mobility at the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) from November 25 to December 9, 2024, within the international educational project "Winter School of Engineering Sciences" (Order No. 4u-126 dated Nov 21, 2024).
• Consortium Mobility: Based on the Cooperation Agreement within the Russian-Kyrgyz Consortium of Technical Universities, the following students were sent for the period from February 3 to July 25, 2025: N.D. Myrzaeva (group AED 3-23) and A.S. Musina (group AED 3-22) to Tyumen Industrial University, and U.T. Taalaybekova to Osh Technological University.
• Previous Mobility: In 2022, Begayim Tynarbekova and Safiya Rakhmanalieva (group AED-2-19) were sent to Tomsk State University of Architecture and Building.

International Seasonal Schools

• First International Winter School (January 10–15): Held at the Institute of Architecture and Design (IAD), KSTU, in collaboration with the V.L. Glazychev Department of Territorial Development (Presidential Academy of the Russian Federation). More than 60 participants from Moscow (RANEPA) and Bishkek (KSTU, GPI) took part. From the Moscow side, 35 Bachelor students and 2 instructors (Elizaveta Konovalova and Elena Denisova) attended. Representing IAD KSTU, students Almazbek Kylychbek uulu, Azamat Kazy uulu, and Beksultan Tulekeev actively participated.
• Interdisciplinary Summer School (June 20–30, 2024): Held in Cholpon-Ata on the theme "The Concept of Spatial and Planning Development of Cholpon-Ata City on Lake Issyk-Kul." Organized by IAD KSTU in conjunction with the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MGSU). Participating students included: Aruuke Asanova, Aitugan Moldoyasova, Meerim Alikhanova, and Akylai Aliyaskarova.

Incoming Mobility

In the fall semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, Asel Kalmatova (3rd year) and Anara Bolburova (2nd year) from Osh State University studied at the "AED" department of IAD KSTU under the incoming academic mobility program.
