Applicants applying for the "DAS" (Architectural Environment Design) specialty take entrance exams in specialized subjects: "Drawing" and "Composition." The drawing exam consists of two stages:
- Drawing of an antique plaster head;
- Drawing of a composition of geometric figures.
- In addition, applicants take tests in the Kyrgyz or Russian languages.
Before submitting documents for the entrance exams, applicants undergo an interview in "Drawing." For this, it is necessary to have a portfolio of their own works (pencil, painting). Education at the department is provided on both a budget and contract basis.
General Characteristics of the Main Educational Program of Higher Professional Education (MEP HPE) (Bachelor's Degree)
The standard period for mastering the MEP HPE for Bachelor's degree in the direction 750200 – "Architectural Environment Design" (profiles: "Urban Environment Design"; "Interior Design"; "Oriental Architecture and Design") based on general secondary or secondary professional education for full-time study is 5 years.
Other standard terms for mastering MEP HPE for Bachelor's and Master's programs are established by the Cabinet of Ministers (Government) of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The total workload for the Bachelor's degree program in the direction 750200 – "Architectural Environment Design" is at least 300 credits (credit units). The workload for one academic year of full-time study is at least 60 credits.
One credit (credit unit) is equal to 30 hours of student academic work (including classroom activities, independent study, and all types of assessment).
Requirements for the Level of Preparation of Applicants:
- The educational level of an applicant seeking higher professional education with the academic degree of "Bachelor" must be general secondary education or secondary professional (or higher professional) education.
- The applicant must possess a state-recognized document of general secondary or secondary professional (or higher professional) education.
- When admitting students for Bachelor's degrees in the field of architecture, the university has the right to conduct additional professional entrance examinations, specifically: exams in drawing, architectural composition, and drafting.
