Educational work at the Department of the Russian language is carried out in several directions. One of the components of which is Aitmatov studies. In the classroom and during extracurricular time, students get acquainted with the work of the great writer, attend performances, watch films based on the works of Chingiz Torokulovich, discuss them and write essays.
In addition, the department pays great attention to aesthetic education through introducing students to art forms such as ballet, fine arts, theater, music and cinema. Excursions to museums to the author's exhibitions of contemporary artists of Kyrgyzstan, visits to classical ballet productions are organized, students get acquainted with the films of the golden fund of Kyrgyz cinema directly within the walls of the university in the assembly hall. In addition, the department pays great attention to aesthetic education through familiarization of students with art forms like ballet, culture of communication in different spheres of life: educational, scientific, business, socio-political and Internet sphere (relevant today).
