Who the Department Trains

The Department of Applied Mathematics and Informatics provides training of master’s students in the field 580500 “Business Informatics”, profile “Computer Science and Management”.

The master’s program is focused on training a new generation of specialists who combine deep knowledge in information technologies, computer science, and modern management, and who are capable of effectively managing digital projects and IT systems in business and public organizations.

“Business Informatics”, profile “Computer Science and Management”

The goal of the program is to train highly qualified professionals capable of:

  • designing, implementing, and managing information systems and digital solutions;
  • applying computer science methods to support managerial decision-making;
  • effectively combining IT competencies with economic and managerial knowledge.

Within the program, master’s students study:

  • architecture and management of corporate information systems;
  • undamentals of computer science, data analysis, and intelligent systems;
  • digital transformation of business;
  • IT project and product management;
  • economics and management of information technologies;
  • research methods and academic writing.

The program has a practice-oriented and research-focused approach.

Who I Will Be After Completing the Master’s Program

The knowledge and skills acquired during the program allow graduates to:

  • effectively manage IT projects and digital products;
  • analyze business processes and develop IT solutions for their optimization;
  • act as a link between technical specialists and management;
  • make informed managerial decisions based on data and digital technologies.

The department has modern computer laboratories with Internet access.

The department actively cooperates with the Institute of Joint Educational Programs (IJEP at Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov), as well as with national and international universities and organizations.

Admission to the master’s program is carried out on a competitive basis in accordance with the admission rules of Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov.

Admission Period

Submission of documents is carried out within the established admission campaign periods of KSTU.
Admission is based on the results of entrance examinations and/or document competition in accordance with current regulations.

List of Required Documents

  • Higher education diploma (Bachelor’s or Specialist degree) with supplement;
  • Transcript;
  • Passport or other identity document;
  • 3×4 cm photographs (4 copies);
  • Medical certificate (Form 086);
  • Copy of military registration certificate or military ID (for persons liable for military service);
  • Other documents in accordance with the master’s admission rules.
