Social life of the department

The Engineering Problem Solving Championship is a practice-oriented competition for students from universities in the Kyrgyz Republic in solving engineering (practical) problems. The Championship's methodology is based on the case study method. During the competition, university teams solve an engineering case dedicated to current energy issues.

The goal of the Championship is to identify and support the most promising university students studying energy-related fields, as well as to assist them in gaining practical knowledge, experience, and new competencies, to promote engineering education, and to attract young professionals to the energy system of the Kyrgyz Republic.

#ВместеЯрче is a campaign to raise awareness about energy conservation.

The #ВместеЯрче campaign was first held in Russia in 2017, in Kazakhstan in 2018, and in Kyrgyzstan in 2019.

The festival is held with the organizational support of the State Committee for Industry, Energy, and Subsoil Use, the United Nations Development Program, and other agencies and public organizations.

In Kyrgyzstan, the festival included thematic lessons, quizzes, drawing and essay contests for schoolchildren, meetings between energy specialists and students, open days at energy companies, international conferences, and events to raise public awareness about energy conservation and the use of modern energy-efficient technologies in everyday life and production.
