History of the department

Initially, the Department of Economics and Management of the Tokmok Contract Faculty of KTU named after. I. Razzakova was organized on September 19, 1994. Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor S. D. Doolotaliev was appointed head of the department.

The Department of Economics is a graduating department in the areas of G. 521607 “Economics and management in an enterprise (by industry)”, G. 521604 “Accounting, analysis and audit” and G. 521501 “Organization management”.

From 01.09.03. a reorganization was carried out at TTI KTU, as a result of which the department of “Economics” was divided into two departments: the department of “Economics” and the department of “Management and Accounting”. Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor S. D. Doolotaliev was appointed head of the Department of Economics. In 2006, the head. Associate Professor A. S. Tukeeva was appointed to the Department of Economics.

In accordance with the order of KSTU No. 1/112 dated June 22, 2009, as well as with the division of the specialty “Management” and “Accounting”, the department of “Economics” was reorganized into “Economics and Management”. Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Erkina Toktogulovna Imankulova was appointed head of the Department of Economics and Management

The department includes: one professor, two candidates of economic sciences, one associate professor, one acting professor. O. associate professor, three teachers, one laboratory assistant. The department includes 66 economic disciplines.

The efforts of the department's teachers are aimed at giving students knowledge of practical and analytical methods, teaching them a managerial way of thinking, developing business strategies, and solving economic and organizational problems of any complexity. In order to consolidate the acquired knowledge, students undergo practical training in institutions and enterprises of the republic.

Currently, the Department of Economics and Management is dealing with the problems of improving the organization of the educational process and teaching methods. The main objectives of the department are to conduct scientific research in the following areas: 1) “Development trends of the modern economy of Kyrgyzstan”; 2) “Methodology for teaching economic disciplines in universities.”

Over the past five years, the Department of Economics and Management has graduated more than 212 specialists - economists, managers in full-time and part-time forms of study.

Members of the department take an active part in international and national scientific conferences and seminars, and in the public life of the institute. Scientific research and development of teachers and students are published in various journals and university bulletins. Over the past five years, the teaching staff of the department has published 2 textbooks, 3 teaching aids, 46 scientific articles, 33 methodological developments.

The department carries out active research work not only by teachers, but also by students, who annually made presentations at various conferences and round tables, and many students took prizes.

The teaching staff of the department annually engages in advanced training. We attended courses on interactive training “Pedagogy and psychology of higher education”, a training seminar “Educational process at a university on credit technologies” and received certificates; defense of the candidate's dissertation, associate professor Tukeeva A. S., receiving the title of associate professor - Orozakhunov T. S.

The department is constantly working to improve the educational process by compiling educational and methodological complexes of disciplines, and participate in the public life of the institute.

In 2016, due to a reduction in the number of students, the department was closed.

 

In 2019, order No. 1/158 dated September 25, 2019, with the aim of quality training for students in the areas of 580200 “Management”, 580100 “Economics” and increasing the number of full-time students, the major department “Economics and Management” of the branch named after. Academician Kh. A. Rakhmatulin, Tokmok. The head of the department is Ph.D., professor at KSTU. I. Razzakova Imankulova E. T.

The department includes: one professor, three candidates of economic sciences, four senior teachers, two teachers, one laboratory assistant.

The department is working to improve the educational process, issues of quality of education, all teachers actively participate in the public life of the Tokmok branch.  

The scientific topic of the department is: “Problems of the efficiency of enterprise management in market conditions.”
