-Organisational and methodological activities;

Scientific and methodological activities:

- Two main areas are planned for the organisation of research work:

1. Department-wide topic: «Problems of intercultural communication in language theory and interactive methods of teaching German at a technical university»  is devoted to the study of problems in the development, justification and implementation of a comprehensive language education system to improve the effectiveness of teaching foreign languages to students.

 2. Individual research by teachers studying various linguistic aspects.

-  The scientific concept of the department is a system for implementing quality management based on the study of the methodological foundations of teaching, the development of teaching quality monitoring, and the introduction of new technologies in language teaching, namely: professionally-oriented methods (business languages, foreign languages for special purposes, methods for developing autonomous learning, and personality-oriented methods.

- The results of the scientific work of the Department of Foreign Languages are planned to be reflected in scientific and methodological publications, in presentations by teachers of the department at scientific and practical conferences of various levels, and to be implemented in the educational process.

Teaching and methodological activities:

-work programmes for training courses and disciplines;

-academic calendar;

-methodological materials ensuring the implementation of the relevant educational technology;

-materials ensuring the quality of student training;

-preparation, publication and updating of course materials and specialised German language materials for KGTU specialisations;

-selection of original authentic material that will allow students to study a foreign language at different levels of proficiency

     In order to achieve a new quality of language education, it is necessary to develop new methodological and technological approaches to the organisation of the educational process.

Organisational and methodological activities:

       The educational process is being improved through the introduction of new forms of teaching:

-active methods of foreign language teaching;

-intensive forms of teaching;

-the use of role-playing and business games;

-the organisation of teaching material in the form of modules;

-participation in a modular rating system for assessing student knowledge

      A significant role in ensuring the effectiveness of the educational process is played by control functions, which allow for increased control over educational activities:

•   Ongoing control;

•   Final (session) control of the quality of training;

•   Control of the completion of outstanding work;

Material and technical base:

      To ensure and organise the educational process, the German Language Centre currently has at its disposal:
