GreenCA — Greening Water Education for Sustainable Development in Central Asia

Status: Ongoing

Program: Erasmus+ KA2 (Capacity Building in Higher Education)
Project number: 101235515
Implementation period: 01.01.2026 – 31.12.2028
Coordinator: Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU, Norway)

About the Project

KSTU named after I. Razzakov is participating in the implementation of the international Erasmus+ project "GreenCA." Central Asia faces serious challenges in the field of water and energy resources, exacerbated by population growth, economic development, and climate change. Water stress in the region is five times higher than the global average, with the water sector accounting for up to 40% of utility costs and 5% of global greenhouse gas emissions.

The project aims to modernize higher education in sustainable water resource management, integrate green and circular economy principles, and promote EU-certified programmes across partner universities.
