Dormitories are structural subdivisions of KSTU and are intended for the temporary accommodation of students, master’s students, and postgraduate students from other cities who study full-time, as well as part-time (distance-learning) students during their period of study, examination sessions, or defense of diploma projects. They are also intended for teachers and staff who are in particular need of housing.

Rooms for temporary accommodation are provided to students and staff upon submission of all required documents and payment of the accommodation fee. The number of residents in one room must not exceed four people.

           Documents Required for Accommodation in the Dormitories:

  1. Application form
  2. Passport (copy)
  3. Certificate from the educational institution confirming enrollment (for employees, a certificate from the place of employment)
  4. Medical examination certificate, including the mandatory result of a fluorographic examination
  5. Four photographs, 3 × 4 cm
  6. Power of attorney (for persons under 18 years of age)

           Foreign nationals admitted for study under interstate agreements are accommodated in student dormitories on the same general terms and according to the procedures established for students who are citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, taking into account the difference in accommodation fees.

           According to the established standard, the occupancy of one room in a student dormitory is four persons. At the students’ request, accommodation for two or three persons in a room instead of four is permitted; however, the fee is charged based on four persons in accordance with the applicable price list.

         Accommodation in the dormitories is arranged electronically through the portal uportal.kstu.kg, taking into account the following priorities:

  • First-year non-resident full-time students, orphan students, students with disabilities (Groups I–III), and students from low-income families;
  • Non-resident full-time students returning from academic leave, provided that they lived in a dormitory before taking academic leave;
  • Non-resident second-, third-, and fourth-year students and master’s students, provided that they have no disciplinary violations or outstanding debts for their previous period of residence.

         Students under the age of 18 may be accommodated in the dormitory only after submitting the complete set of required documents. A notarized power of attorney from the parents or legal representatives must be provided, specifying the person responsible for the minor student’s accommodation in the dormitory.

         In the event of expulsion from the University (or upon completion of studies), the resident student or employee must vacate the room within 3 days in accordance with the terms of the agreement.

         The dormitory accommodation fee is charged in accordance with the price list approved for the current academic year. The price list is available on the KSTU website.

         KSTU students, as well as students from other universities, are required to pay the established accommodation fee for the upcoming academic year in full. Payment must be made before moving into the dormitory by bank transfer to KSTU’s bank account, in accordance with the terms of the agreement.

         Students who are full orphans are entitled to free accommodation in the dormitory.
