The system of educational work with students at the department of "ISandG" is an integral part of the educational process. It includes the work on the education of students in the educational process: explanation of the rules of conduct in the university, acquaintance with the history of the university, its traditions, explanation of the rational system of study and leisure, serious attitude to learning. Educational work in extracurricular time includes: the involvement of students in scientific work (SRW), cultural and sports activities. Educational work system includes: ideological, moral, social, labor, aesthetic and other aspects, conducted in accordance with the plan of educational work. The department has curators for groups, curators' work plans are approved for each academic year. During the lesson curators check the attendance of students.
Educational work is carried out in the department by all teaching staff, which includes discussions on the organization and implementation of independent and individual work; on the chosen profession; on the culture of behaviour and ethics; on attendance and performance of students; on healthy lifestyles. Department conducts control over the passage of medical examination of students. Students of the department participate in university and interuniversity events (sports competitions, conferences), take part in concerts, dedicated to holidays and events of the University. The brightest and most ambitious events of educational work is the participation of students of the department in the national action of cleaning and beautification of the city. Students of the department took part in a number of events:
- "Jashyl Muras". - Day of the Kyrgyz language, - Students' Day, - Ak-Kalpak Day, - Coat of Arms Day of the Kyrgyz Republic. Students of the first year were familiarized with the university, the statute of KSTU, its management structure, development prospects, library, website, trade union, internal regulations, hygiene, academic process schedule, group headmen were selected, databases of group students were compiled. There were conducted curatorial hours, talks on planned topics: On friendship and cohesion of the group; On the preparation and attitude of students to sports; On the preparation and participation of students in KVN and amateur art activities; On the preparation of students for an independent work after graduation.
