Scientific research
The scientific problem “Rational use of natural resources and environmental protection” is included in the research plan of the University. The problem is being worked out on several main topics: "Development of environmentally safe technology for extracting gold from resistant gold-containing raw materials", "Food safety", "Synthesis and thermodynamics of donor-acceptor compounds", "Express methods of purification of natural waters of the Kyrgyz Republic", "Nanotechnology". Professor Batkibekova M.B. has been the director of the Research Institute of Chemical Technology for more than 10 years. The Department of Chemical Technology of the Research Institute of Chemical Technology operated on the basis of the department, the head was prof. T.S.Dzhunushalieva. As part of the department successfully worked: Prof. Borbieva D.B., senior lecturer Sydykova S.S., teacher Syrymbekova E.I., students of spec. "Research chemist", "TPOOP".
As part of the research on the problem under study, M.B. Batkibekova and T.S. Dzhunushalieva developed the project "Cyanide-free extraction of gold from persistent gold-bearing sulfide ores of enrichment tailings", won a grant of 30 thousand euros (2004). The International Scientific and Technical Center (ISTC), successfully completed work on the KR-877 Project together with scientists from the UK, USA. The financing party is the European Community. KR-877 Project executors: collaborator Dr. Jan Krayson, Prof. M.B.Batkibekova, Prof. T.S.Dzhunushalieva (USA, Colorado, 2004) In accordance with the problem being developed, studies of the chemical composition of natural waters and soils of all regions of Kyrgyzstan have been carried out. The content of heavy metals in samples of natural waters and soils taken in ecologically unsafe areas of gold deposits and tailings storage has been determined. A method of rapid purification of drinking water with reagent "R" has been developed and a patent for it has been obtained. Research has begun on the production of food dyes from vegetable.
Research work of students
Student research works carried out under the guidance of teachers of the department were awarded diplomas of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz SSR, MOiN of the Kyrgyz Republic, published in annual collections of materials of student conferences, peer-reviewed scientific journals. The work of student V. Gutsal, gr. ML-1-06 "Euroruberoid from old car tires" was awarded the Grand Prix of the State Patent Service of the Kyrgyz Republic (head - Prof. Borbieva D.B.). Student gr. MS-1-10 Kichigin A. was awarded the Grand Prix prize for participation in the International competition of student works "There is an idea!" and a $2000 bonus. Students' research work is conducted under the guidance of teachers. Upon completion of the research, students participate in the annual International Scientific and Technical Conference of Young Scientists and Students. In the 2021-2022 academic year, following the results of the jury's work at the international scientific and technical conference, young scientists and students were recommended for awarding the following
The high scientific and methodological potential of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies determined its choice as the base for holding Republican, All-Union and International Olympiads of schoolchildren and students. Since 2003, the KR team under the leadership of Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Batkibekova M.B. participated in all International and Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiads held in England, Germany, Taiwan, South Korea, Armenia, Russia, Hungary, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Japan, USA, Kazakhstan, etc. and won silver and bronze medals. Currently, the III stage of the Republican Olympiad of Schoolchildren in Chemistry is being held on the basis of the Department of Chemistry
Postgraduate study
The department successfully operates a postgraduate course, in which the Doctor of Chemical Sciences Dzhunushalieva T.S. and 6 candidates of Sciences – Zholdoshev B.M., Stambekova B.B., F.A. Abdyldaeva, A.M. Usubalieva, A.M. Kulmurzayeva, R.S. Elemanova successfully completed and defended their studies. Currently, there is 1 postgraduate student of correspondence studies and 3 applicants at the department. 3 papers have been prepared for the defense of the candidate's thesis (Syrymbekova E.I., Kudaibergenova D.S., Narcozieva G.A.). The Department of Chemical Technology of the Research Institute of Chemical Technology operates on the basis of the department, the head is prof. T.S.Dzhunushalieva. As part of the department successfully worked: Prof. Borbieva D.B., associate professors Sydykova Sh.S., Syrymbekova E.I., teacher Zhamangulova G.A. and students of spec. "Production technology and organization of public catering". The research results are presented in a number of monographs, numerous articles published in leading scientific journals, reports at conferences in the near and far East
