The organization of extracurricular work with students is carried out according to the plan of educational work of the department, which includes issues of organization and control of studies, attendance of classes by students, formation of scientific thinking in the process of studying chemical disciplines, adaptation of first-year students at the university, involvement of students in scientific work, formation and development of concepts and ideas of universal values: humanism, democracy, patriotism, careful attitudes to the national values of the Republic: language, traditions, moral issues, propaganda and education of internationalism.
Undergraduate students study at the Department of HIHT, therefore, the main emphasis is on explaining the system of credit technology of training: the organization and distribution of their time, the features of the modular system, the delivery of modules, preparation for laboratory and practical classes and their implementation, work with methodological manuals and literature. From the very beginning of the academic year, students are involved in all public events held at the faculty and KSTU: TF and KSTU Open Days, University Day, Chemist's Day. On 16.05. 19, a "Chemical holiday" was held, prepared by students of the I and II courses of the TF.
