HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT "AUTOMOBILE TRANSPORT" 1957 - 2020
The profiling department "Motor transport" was organized in 1957 under the leadership of Ph.D., associate professor Skalov G.F. In subsequent years, as the academic disciplines progressed, the laboratories "Electrical Equipment of Automobiles", "Design of Automobiles", "Technical Maintenance of Automobiles", "Repair of Automobiles", "Testing Engines" and "Operational Materials" were organized.
By the first graduation of mechanical engineers of road transport in 1960, two PhDs, associate professors Skalov G.F., Pototsky E.F., two senior teachers Dardyk D.Ch., Kasyanov A.G. worked at the department. , two laboratory assistants Dautov A. and Galaktionov M. and one training master.

With the development of the specialty "Motor transport", an increase in the number of study groups, the opening of education at evening and correspondence faculties, laboratories were expanded and new educational and laboratory equipment, instruments and educational visual aids were purchased. In connection with the development of automotive specialties, by order of the Ministry of Public Education of the Kirghiz SSR in 1970, the department was divided into two: "Automobiles and automobile engines" - the head of the department Nusupov E.S. and "Technical operation and repair of vehicles" - head of the department Yakhno A.S. with the consolidation of academic disciplines for the newly organized departments with the separation of educational laboratories, teaching staff and teaching support staff.
