Scientific Research and Academic Activities
Igor Viktorovich Bochkaryov – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of “Electromechanics” at KSTU – Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov, recognized specialist in electric drives, electromechanical systems, and energy automation. His scientific and pedagogical activity spans over 40 years and is associated with the training of engineering personnel, development of modern electric motor control systems, and the implementation of innovative technologies in power engineering and sustainable energy.
He is the author of over 60 scientific and educational-methodical publications, including in high-ranking international journals and at IEEE and SPIE conferences. His most notable research areas include:
- Development of intelligent thermal protection systems for electric motors in biogas plants (including publications in Machines, Switzerland, 2021)
- Application of sensor technologies for detecting subsurface metallic objects and improving energy efficiency in electric drives
- Implementation of adaptive control algorithms in bioenergy installations
- Research published in the journals Electrooborudovanie: Operation and Maintenance and Proceedings of KSTU named after I. Razzakov
Professor Bochkaryov is actively engaged in teaching: he delivers courses on electric drive theory, electrical machines, intelligent control systems, automation, and mechatronics. He supervises research work of students, master’s and PhD candidates, initiates educational-laboratory developments, and participates in modernizing the educational programs of the Faculty of Energy. He is a member of the editorial board of KSTU’s scientific journal and an expert in applied electrical engineering. His scientific and pedagogical contributions are focused on integrating engineering solutions into sustainable energy policy, developing digital competencies among students, and implementing advanced technologies in the real economy. Active participation in scientific and industry conferences, collaboration with industrial partners, and his extensive publication record establish him as one of the leading engineering scholars at KSTU.
