Russian-Kyrgyz Consortium of Technical Universities (RKCTU)

    RKCTU was established in 2013 on the basis of decisions of the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Russian Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Humanitarian Cooperation (Minutes of the 13th meeting of April 12, 2011 and Protocol of the 14th meeting of April 27, 2012) .

 

    The Consortium was created with the support of the Ministries of Education and Science of the two countries and is a voluntary association of Russian and Kyrgyz universities that signed the Agreement on the Creation of the Consortium and joined it later, sharing the common goals of supporting and developing joint network educational programs.

 

The main goals of the RKCTU:

  • expansion of relations between the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic in the educational and scientific and technical fields;

  • improvement and development of the system of training personnel with higher technical education for the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic;

  • assistance in the development of integration processes in the scientific and educational sphere;

  • expansion of opportunities for obtaining high-quality modern higher education by citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, further development of professional contacts between Russian and Kyrgyz scientific and pedagogical workers.

    Co-Chairs of the Board of the RKCTU

 

    The co-chairs of the Board are the rectors of the National Research University "MPEI" and the Kyrgyz State Technical University. I. Razzakova. At the same time, MPEI acts as a coordinator of the Russian universities of the Consortium, representing their interests in the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, and KSTU acts as a coordinator of the Kyrgyz universities of the Consortium, representing their interests in the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.

 

    The consortium brings together:

 

    RKCTU members are 36 universities in Russia and 15 universities in Kyrgyzstan, which cooperate in educational and scientific activities.

Within the framework of the RKCTU, agreements were signed with 36 Russian universities.

 

    There are agreements on joint educational programs:

 

Undergraduate - 49,

Specialty - 3,

Master's degree - 33.

    The total number of areas of training is 28, including 20 areas being implemented.

 

    The number of joint educational programs is increasing every year.

 

    The collegial bodies of the RKCTU are the annual General meetings of the consortium member universities, the purpose of which is to discuss issues related to the development of joint educational programs, admit new members, sign agreements on newly organized Joint programs and exchange experience.
