Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications

The Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications (IET) is one of the largest divisions of KSTU named after I. Razzakov, training specialists in advanced fields such as radio electronics, information, and telecommunications technologies. Education is based on the latest information technologies with the use of modern computing tools. Students undergo internships at leading enterprises and companies in Kyrgyzstan, and by the time they graduate, many already have work experience and job offers.

The Institute offers programs in secondary, higher, and postgraduate professional education; training, retraining, and advanced training for specialists with secondary and higher education; as well as bachelor's and master's degrees. It also conducts courses in information technology and other areas. The Institute carries out fundamental and applied research. For more than 15 years, it has been preparing specialists for all telecommunications companies in the Kyrgyz Republic, including Kyrgyztelecom, Beeline, Megacom, and others.

Graduates of IET work as managers at various levels in state and private telecommunications companies. Currently, more than 1,000 students are enrolled in the Institute. In the first and second years, students study at general technical departments, and starting from the third year, they specialize in one of the three departments:

During their studies, students have the opportunity to engage in research, participate in university, national, and international conferences. They also enjoy a vibrant student life, with opportunities to participate in sports, festivals, and competitions.

The Institute has computer labs equipped with modern computing and networking equipment, multimedia classrooms, as well as laboratories equipped with modern laboratory instruments and a SOTSB-U laboratory equipped with telecommunications tools.

- Specialization: "Information Systems and Technology in Telecommunications"
- Specialization: Information Systems and Technology in Mining (full-time/part-time).
- Specialization: Geoinformation Systems (full-time/part-time).

690300 "Infocommunication Technologies and Communication Systems":
- Specializations: "Infocommunication Technologies in Communication Services".
- Specializations: "Programmatically Protected Infocommunications".

Master's Degrees in the following areas:

710200 - "Information Systems and Technology"
690300 Infocommunication Technologies and Communication Systems in the master's programs:
- "Information Systems and Technology in Mining" (full-time).
- Security and Software Protection of Infocommunications.

During their studies, students:
- Receive programming training in C, C++, Java, SQL, PHP, LabVIEW, and other languages;
- Study database and knowledge base design technologies (Microsoft Access, MS SQL Server, MySQL, Prolog, Lisp, etc.);
- Gain in-depth knowledge of operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, Unix, Linux, etc.;
- Acquire skills in designing modern complex systems for process automation, data collection, and processing;
- Gain knowledge in information security and methods of information protection using software and hardware tools.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The department accepts applicants in the directions "IST" and "ITCS". Admission tests are conducted based on the results of the ORT. Additional test subjects include mathematics or physics. Admission is available on a state-funded or contract basis.

The following documents are required for admission:
- Basic test + mathematics or physics;
- Application form;
- Education document (certificate);
- Medical certificate form No. 086-U;
- Photos (3x4 cm);
- Passport or other identity document (for those liable for military service – conscription certificate or military ID).

TUITION FEES:

- 41,700 KGS per year (for citizens of Kyrgyzstan) (full-time)
- 32,400 KGS per year (for citizens of Kyrgyzstan) (part-time)
- 46,800 KGS per year (for citizens of nearby countries) (full-time)
- 37,440 KGS per year (for citizens of nearby countries) (part-time)
