The history of the department The Department of Computer Science and Production Automation (IAP) was established in 2000. In 2002, a new specialty 650006 "Integrated Information Security of automated systems" (COIBAS) was opened on the basis of this department, and in the same year the IAP department was renamed the Department of Information Systems Security (OBIS). The Department has a close relationship in the field of information technology and security with German and Russian leading universities such as West Saxon University of Zwickau (Germany) and St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technology, Mechanics and Optics, National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (Russia), which are leading universities of the Russian Federation. 2 teachers of the department were trained in Germany (Borubaev M.Ch.) and India (Borubaev M.Ch., Omorova N.A.) 2 graduates of the Department of OBIS graduated from the master's degree program of the West Saxon University of Zwickau (Germany) in the field of Computer Science and received master's degrees in computer Science (Chinaliev A.A., Mityaev A.A.). In They currently work for IT firms in Germany. In 2014, 4 graduates of the department enrolled in the Master's degree program of the St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technology, Mechanics and Optics in the field of Information Security.
