The Institute of Transport and Robotics - formed from the oldest faculty of Kygyz state technical university named after I. Razzakov - the Faculty of Transport and Mechanical Engineering, together with it, in 1954, the Frunze Polytechnic University was formed, which was later transformed into the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after Iskhak Razzakov. The educational activities of the institute are aimed at training highly qualified engineers in the field of operation of road transport, automation and robotics, logistics and transport management, and ensuring road safety.

Training is conducted in full-time, part-time and distance learning forms:
full-time – 4 years part-time – 5 years on the basis of colleges and technical schools: full-time – 3 years, part-time – 4 years distance learning – 5 years Budgetary and contract training is provided based on the final scores of the All-Republican Testing (ORT) (subject test in physics or mathematics).
