The international cooperation


      On February 5, 2018, the KSTU leadership met with President for Russia and the CIS Johan Vanderplaetse, Vice President Roman Shmakov, General Director for Kazakhstan and Central Asia Maxim Ageev of Schneider Electric. During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of energy, renewable energy sources, and a memorandum of cooperation was signed, according to which Schneider Electric provides equipment for training future engineers and opens an appropriate laboratory.

The subject of scientific and experimental design developments of the department was associated with the creation, research and optimization of general industrial and special electromechanical energy converters and electrical apparatus, systems and devices. The work was carried out both on state budget and economic contract topics included in the subject of the USSR Academy of Sciences and the USSR Ministry of Electrical Industry. The results of these works brought the department wide popularity among scientists and production workers in the field of electrical machines and apparatuses.

So, a fundamentally new type of electrical machines was developed at the department - low-inertia asynchronous electric motors with two concentrically located rotors (developers - Ph.D., associate professors M.N. Filatov M, V.N. Tsoi, I.V. Bochkarev) . The developments were demonstrated at All-Union and International exhibitions and were awarded the bronze medal of the VDNKh of the USSR and the diploma of the international exhibition "Bulgaria-85" (author - I.V. Bochkarev).
