The main task of the department is high—quality training of students, advanced training of teaching staff and UVS, improvement and preservation of the material base and methodological support of the department. The department pays special attention to improving the quality of students' education. At the meetings of the department, methodological seminars, issues of further improvement of the content and structure of training, teaching methods, the introduction of electronic teaching methods and control in the educational process are regularly discussed. The problems of combining classroom and independent work of students, providing the educational process with new programs, organizing ongoing monitoring and improving methods of working with students are being solved.
Teachers of the department update work programs and teaching materials at least once every 2-3 years.
Students of the department are provided with methodological guidelines for course design and preparation of the WRC. All the topics of the WRC are relevant and are not repeated. According to the reviews of third-party members of the State Attestation Commission, the defense of graduation papers is at a high level.
