Academic work
Implementation of curricula and syllabi in accordance with current regulations and monitoring of their implementation
The department's educational process is organized in accordance with the Regulation on the Organization of the Educational Process Based on the Credit Transfer System (ECTS), approved by T. Duishenaliev, Rector of KSTU named after I. Razzakov, on June 12, 2012, No. 131.
The department's faculty updates their work programs and teaching materials at least once every two years. The content of the work programs complies with the State Standard of Higher Professional Education of the Kyrgyz Republic. They outline the prerequisites and postrequisites for the courses. They also specify the competencies developed by the course, the skills and abilities acquired by students upon completion, the teaching methods, the types and formats of classes, the assessment policy, the topics for independent study, and the sources used. The course syllabi are updated annually.
The qualifications of lecturers, instructors, and the Department of Computer Science meet the necessary requirements for bachelor's degree programs.
Department students are provided with all methodological guidelines for practical and laboratory work, as well as computational and graphic assignments.
Students typically complete independent work assignments at home due to the excessive workload in the computer labs. However, the department provides the opportunity to complete independent work (assignments are specified in the work programs and syllabi) in the department's computer labs.
At the beginning of each semester, after the class schedule has been established, the department's methodologist prepares a class schedule for each classroom, which specifies the hours allocated for independent work. The schedule is approved by the laboratory director and the department head. Independent work assignments for each subject are accepted according to the schedule.
