Educational activities

The organization of the educational process at the department takes place in accordance with the regulation on the organization of the educational process based on credit technology of education (ECTS), approved by the rector of KSTU. I. Razzakov dated June 12, 2012 No. 131.

Mathematics is one of the main components of the educational process at the natural science and technical faculties of the university. The most important component in the system of fundamental training of an engineer is mathematics, which should be provided by the department "Higher Mathematics".

In all disciplines, the staff of the department conducts lectures and practical classes.Teachers of the department update work programs and teaching materials at least once every 2 years. The content of work programs corresponds to GOST VPO KR. They provide prerequisites and postrequisites for courses. The competencies that the course develops, the skills acquired by students at the end of the course, the methods of teaching the discipline, the types and forms of conducting classes, the policy of assessing knowledge, the topics of self-study, the sources used are indicated. Syllabuses of disciplines are updated every year.

The department pays special attention to improving the quality of student education. At meetings of the department, methodological seminars, issues of further improvement of the content and structure of education, teaching methods, the introduction of electronic teaching methods and control in the educational process are regularly discussed. The problems of combining classroom and independent work of students, providing the educational process with new programs, organizing current control and improving methods of working with students are being solved.

Methodological work at the department is an integral part of the educational process and aims to improve the methodology, increase the efficiency, quality of all types of training sessions, improve the professional level and pedagogical skills of the teaching and scientific staff, organize and ensure the educational process.

For all disciplines assigned to the department, work programs have been developed and introduced into the educational process, syllabuses - for students studying on credit technology, methodological instructions for laboratory work, collections of tasks for practical classes, materials of the rating system. Curricula and programs of academic disciplines are periodically discussed at the scientific and methodological seminars of the department. The teachers of the department have developed educational and methodological complexes in all disciplines. Over the past 10 years, more than 10 textbooks have been published under the stamp of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.
