Dyikanbayeva Zhannat

Hello everyone! My name is Zhannat Dyikanbayeva. I am 21 years old. I study at the distance learning department at the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after Iskhak Razzakov at the Faculty of International Higher School of Logistics.

Since childhood, I attended English language courses and had a strong desire to apply my language skills in some field. So, I was always searching for a suitable job, and one day luck smiled at me.

My job and position in the logistics field

I started working in the logistics field in 2020 in an American trucking company. Initially, I joined as an assistant dispatcher and worked in that position for 1.5 years. Then, I was promoted to the position of Safety Manager.

As a Safety Manager, I mainly work with lawyers, courts, monitor the company's trucking rating, and handle various documentation related to my position.

If the company's rating is low, they won't assign good loads to you, and brokers will have less trust in your company.

Working in a trucking company is challenging, both for drivers and other employees. Like any job, it has its specifics. There's a strict schedule, rigid rules, and lots of documentation. Everyone knows that the USA has very strict laws, especially regarding drivers and trucking companies.

For example, there are clear rules for getting loads, truck parking, dealing with violations, adhering to drivers' hours on the road, timely payment of fines, insurance, etc.

Working in this company, I learned a lot and confirmed the correctness of my choice of faculty.

Since I didn't immediately go to university after school, I developed a desire to study in this field and become a certified specialist. Following my parents' advice, I decided to enroll in the distance learning program at KSTU at the logistics faculty.

Of course, there were difficulties, nerves, tears, because the USA is a different country with different laws, people, and a huge time difference. For the third year now, I lead a "night" lifestyle: working at night and sleeping during the day. This creates some difficulties during exams.

We have highly developed outsourcing companies. For instance, trucks and drivers are in the USA, while I have an experienced Safety team, my office in the city center, and can sell my services to multiple companies, with pricing set for each truck.

I know several acquaintances who have such mini-companies. My future goal is to grow in this direction and start my own business in this field.
