It was established in 1962 as a Techni- cal Faculty of Frunze Polytechnic Institute with evening form of education to meet the needs of the Toktogul hydroelectric power station cascade construction. It has played an invaluable role in the training of engineers who were involved in the cons- truction of the cascade hydropower sta- tions and their safe and efficient operation.
During fifty years six thousand qualified engineers were graduated from the Kara-Kul Technological Institute
At present time two Doctors, nine Candidates work at the Institute. The staff of the Institute is more than forty people.
Institute has its own four academic buildings with total area of 3,721.9 square meters.
Due to the close cooperation with teams of Toktogul hydroelectric power sta- tion and JSC \»Naryngidroenergostroy\» Kara-Kul Technological Institute has been equipped with modern educational labo- ratories and has good productive facilities.
