Rector of Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University Participates in the World Digital Education Conference and Holds Strategic Meetings in China

The Rector of Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University, Mirlan Chynybaev, participated as part of the Kyrgyz delegation in the World Digital Education Conference, held on May 11–13, 2026, in Hangzhou, People’s Republic of China.

The Kyrgyz delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic, heads of higher education institutions, and representatives of international partner organizations.

Participation in this major international forum was aimed at expanding international cooperation in the digital transformation of education, studying global best practices in the application of artificial intelligence in education, and promoting joint academic and research initiatives.

The conference brought together more than 1,000 participants from over 100 countries, including policymakers, ministers of education, heads of diplomatic missions, university rectors, representatives of technology companies, and international experts in education.

As part of the conference program, participants discussed key trends in digital education, innovative technologies, artificial intelligence, and workforce development for the economy of the future.

During the visit, Rector Mirlan Chynybaev signed two important cooperation agreements with leading Chinese universities.

The first agreement was signed with Zhejiang University, one of the world’s leading universities, ranked among the top institutions globally in the QS World University Rankings. The partnership will focus on knowledge and technology transfer, as well as sharing expertise in the use of artificial intelligence in education, science, and innovation. This cooperation is supported under the World Bank’s ATLAS Project.

The second agreement was signed with Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Electric Power, focusing on the establishment of a joint research laboratory in artificial intelligence and clean energy. The parties plan to implement collaborative projects aimed at addressing practical challenges in Kyrgyzstan’s energy sector.

In addition, the Kyrgyz delegation held a series of working meetings with representatives of leading universities and high-tech companies in Hangzhou specializing in medical and laboratory equipment, smart classroom technologies, and unmanned aerial systems.

The delegation also explored successful practices in applying artificial intelligence in manufacturing, education, research, and innovation.

As a result of the meetings, agreements were reached to develop cooperation in several strategic areas, including the launch of the second phase of the Luban Workshop 2.0 Project, integration of artificial intelligence training programs, development of international educational programs in logistics, creation of new IT products for the Kyrgyz market, and establishment of advanced laboratories in biotechnology, unmanned systems, green energy, railway transport, and intelligent transportation systems.

Participation in the World Digital Education Conference highlights Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University’s commitment to global academic integration, adoption of advanced technologies, and strengthening international scientific and educational partnerships.
