The "TapTyk" project by the Enactus team from the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov became one of the best at the international Seoul Smart City Prize competition in South Korea, winning in the "Human CentriCity" nomination.

The Seoul Smart City Prize is one of the world's leading platforms promoting innovative technologies to improve the quality of life in cities. The prize aims to create an inclusive smart city model that cares for people in difficult life circumstances in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution based on information and communication technologies.

This mission is the basis for the two categories of the prize: Tech-InnovaCity and Human-CentriCity. The organizers, the WeGO Association and the Seoul Metropolitan Government, emphasize that a smart city should be both human- and technology-oriented, and not just focused on technological progress.

This year, the competition brought together participants from 160 countries, including the largest cities in the world, and became a meeting place for mayors, experts and government representatives, including the mayor of Seoul. The semi-final was held with the participation of 360 teams, and only 16 best projects reached the final, which presented their innovative solutions in the international arena.

The Enactus KSTU team not only demonstrated the achievements of their university, but also proudly raised the flag of Kyrgyzstan at the prestigious award, emphasizing their dedication and success on the world stage.

In the Human CentriCity category, Kyrgyzstan became the winner among 15 countries, including Serbia, the Philippines, Brazil, Spain, Finland, Qatar, South Korea, the USA, Portugal, Malaysia, Taiwan, Iran, Tanzania, the UK and others, proving its superiority in the field of social and technological solutions aimed at improving the quality of life in cities.

The TapTyk project, developed to help blind and visually impaired people, is an innovative sound map that can be installed in public spaces such as museums, libraries and administrative buildings, making it much easier to navigate in the urban environment. The idea of ​​the project impressed the jury due to its social significance and technological sophistication, which allowed it to win in the nomination aimed at improving the quality of life of people with disabilities.

The project was developed under the guidance of academic advisers of the KSTU Enactus team Myrzalieva M.A. and Sultanova A.K. This triumph demonstrates the high level of training of KSTU students and confirms the status of the university as one of the leading educational and innovative institutions not only in Kyrgyzstan, but also in the international arena.
