Rector of KSTU Chynybaev M.K. presented certificates to the participants of the international training on the topic "Application of Satellite Generated Atmospheric and Climatic Datasets".

Theoretical and laboratory classes were conducted by Dr. Shahnawaz, Professor of the Department of Geoinformatics - Z_GIS (www.plus.ac.at/geoinformatik) of the University of Salzburg in Austria from December 19 to 29, 2022 on the basis of the Austrian-Central Asian Center for Geoinformatics (ACA*GIScience: www.aca-giscience.org) supported by the Eurasian Pacific University Network (EPU: www.eurasiapacific.net) and the Austrian Academy of Sciences (www.oeaw.ac.at/en/giscience).

During the training, undergraduates, postgraduates, PhD students and teachers of KSTU named after I. Razzakov, as well as other invited specialists, studied modern technologies for remote sensing of the Earth, formats and sources of satellite data to study global climate change, methods for measuring the temperature of the surface and atmosphere of the Earth, determining aerosols, cloud water content and snow cover.

The University of Salzburg (PLUS) is a reliable partner of KSTU, in cooperation with which and other partners since 2002, several international projects have been implemented under the EPU, TEMPUS, Erasmus Munduz, Erasmus + and OeAD-APPEAR programs. Two undergraduates of KSTU named after I. Razzakov received grants for their studies at the University of Salzburg in the summer semester of 2022-2023 academic year under the international credit mobility project of the Erasmus + program.
