Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I.Razzakov

Applied Mathematics and Informatics

The department was formed on 30.09.2004 (or. № 63) due to the division of the department of "Higher Mathematics" into two departments: "Higher Mathematics" and "Applied Mathematics". From the day of its foundation, the department has been headed by Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic, Academician of the Engineering Academy of the Kyrgyz Republic M.Dzhamanbaev. e-mail: jamanbaev@mail.ru, of. tel .: (312) 545158, +996 (312) 542945. Professor Dzhamanbaev M.J. is a renowned scientist in the scientific field of fluid and gas mechanics. He has published over 90 scientific works, including 2 monographs, two textbooks. Two Ph.D. theses were defended under his scientific supervision. Currently Dzhamanbaev M.J. carries out scientific supervision over the work of one doctoral student, postgraduate student and two applicants. Dzhamanbaev M.J. participated in an international project on predicting the spread of pollutants in the underground hydrosphere through the ISTC and in a number of major scientific projects. In these projects were solved applied predictive problems, such as the problem of nitrate pollution of the Orto-Alysh groundwater deposit; the problem of the temperature and filtration regime of the tailing dump of the Kumtor gold ore plant. Also Dzhamanbaev M.J. deals with the issues of mathematical modeling of landslide processes. Since 2005 to 2010 Dzhamanbaev M.J. was the rector of KSTU them. I. Razzakov. Since 2016 Dzhamanbaev M.J. is the rector of KSTU named after I. Razzakov.

Since September 2014, due to the reorganization of the departments "Higher Mathematics" and "Applied Mathematics", the Department of "Applied Mathematics and Informatics" was established.

The staff of the department has 20 full-time teachers, including 1 doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, 7 candidates of physical and mathematical sciences, 3 candidates of technical sciences, 2 professors, 10 associate professors, 9 senior teachers. 55% of the teaching staff have an academic degree. Since 2011-2012 academic year year, the department begins preparation bachelors in the direction 510201 "Applied Mathematics and Informatics". The staff of the department takes part in the preparation of bachelors: Professor Imanaliev Z.K., associate professor Umetaliev M.U., senior teacher Saparalieva S.I., who have been working for more than 25 years; associate professor Ashirbaev B.Y., associate professor Duishokov K.D., senior teacher Abdyldaeva A.R., who have been working for more than 20 years and teach classes in the disciplines of mathematics and applied mathematics. Senior lecturers became the first teachers leading computer science disciplines: Dushenova U. J., Tursunkulova Z.S., Kyshtobaeva G.K. Research work is being actively carried out.
